The Schwinn Jasmine 16" girls' Bike is the perfect first bike for little girls. Crafted with 3-inch Super Street tires on double-wide rims, the girls' 16-inch bike offers stability while she imbibes the knack of balancing. It comes with a cushioned saddle that provides excellent riding comfort while the top-wrap chain guard keeps pants and laces from getting entangled with the chain. The heavy duty bike features a low stand-over frame with unicrown fork to suit your child's height. Further, the steel wheel bike integrates BMX-style handle bar with two-bolt stem for easy maneuvering. Also, the Schwinn girls' bike includes a matching handlebar bag so your little angel can keep her accessories at reach.

    Better than average kids bike I would say that the Schwinn Jasmine is an above average kids bike. It carries the Schwinn brand, but it is clearly a mass-market kids bike that could have been manufactured by any mystery company. The Jasmine does not appear within the Schwinn product library on their website. Most likely they license their name to a generic Chinese manufacturer.However, that being said, this bike is better than other mass-market kids bikes you will find. As will all of these kids bikes, it is incredibly heavy. I was worried about this, but my 5yo daughter doesn't have any problems scooting around on her new bike.My wife and I assembled the bike in about 1 hour using common tools. Take note, you will need METRIC tools to assemble this bike. The same goes for any bike made in China. Unlike other reports, everything arrived in fairly good condition and all the pieces went together without any problems. This is a straight forward bike to assemble.Also take note that the Jasmine is NOT a Disney bike. The name "Jasmine" has nothing to do with the Disney princess. Even so, I personally find this to be the most attractive girls bike available. All the others seems to overflow with sickening pinks, whereas this bike shines with sparkling blues and whites.Bottom line: an attractive girl's bike that is solid and easy to assemble. It was a BIG hit with our little one. She is delighted with her new bike. 06/15/2009
    Excellent Value and Sturdy! Spend the extra $20 and get this bike. It is much more sturdy than the other bikes for this age range and the chain guard is not plastic (note this is a sign of quality). You get what you pay for and you won't go wrong with this bike. My daughter is thrilled. Once we were notified that the bike had arrived at the site to store location, we called and asked if they would assemble as well. They had it done that day, free of charge. 10/26/2009
    perfect bike for 5 yr old I bought this for my 5 yr old granddaughter for Easter because it has her name on it. She hasn't seen it yet, but I know she will love it. Received it site to store in a timely manner. My 13 yr old son assembled it with no problems. He is a BMX rider & was impressed with the quality of this child's bike. Can't wait til Easter to give it to her. 04/01/2011
