It's not terrible and really doesn't bother me but I can tell the quality difference in the sound compared to my other TV. Rated 5 out of 5 by HappyatTheGlen great tv for any room Bought this TV on-line, site to store. It arrived a couple of days later than expected but was in great condition when it did arrive. I was pleased with the packaging and even the extra screen protector than my more expensive Vizio or LG didn't have. The initial set-up was easy, although when I went to put on the stand, the pins to line up the base were not straight so it looked crooked. I hadn't put the screws in yet and when I went to rotate the base, the small plastic line-up pins broke off. Uh oh I thought, maybe the base doesn't rotate. It was very stiff but eventually after taking off a cover at the bottom of the tv I realized it did rotate and I mounted the base with the provided screws (screwdriver also provided) and straightened it out no problem. I hooked the TV up to my cable box via the HDMI cable, turned it on, hit the source button, picked HDMI 1 and off to the races we went. The picture quality is fantastic, I am very impressed. If you want to listen to loud music, buy speakers. For everthing else it is a great TV, I'm very happy. I also have had a 15 inch scepter monitor for about 8 years so I was familiar with the name. If this is the size you need, buy this TV, it's great! 05/27/2012

But NO, it was the tv and when I contacted customer service they knew exactly what was wrong and told me to return the tv. I did not try a second time so I bought a Sanyo 42" refurb and it's working GREAT. 07/19/2012
