Love it! My husband and I just assembled this desk and we are loving it!Assembly took about 3 hours so be prepared, but the instructions were fairly easy to follow. Just make sure you distinguish between the black FLAT HEAD screws and the black PAN HEAD screws... The desk is very sturdy and the drawers roll nicely.Also, the desk is NOT white. It is a creamy color that we actually like better. 02/24/2008
Great Deal After I researched writing desks, my husband and I purchased this desk for my home office. Plenty of desk space for desk lamps and writing. The drop down drawer even has a whole in the back for keyboard cords - We thought we'd have to add that! Very well made and solid. As my husband said, very ROBUST. It took my husband about 2-2.5 hours to put it together. It is an off-white, creamy color definately not white. Just what I wanted. Looks great with my cocoa colored walls. Walmart has the cheapest price for the product and ships free to the store for pickup. I would highly recommend this product. 09/21/2010
Color is completely off I was looking for a white/antique white desk as described by Sauder. I opened the box to find that the color was nowhere near white, antique white, cream or even beige. I'd describe the color as sandy taupe. It completely threw me off. I haven't taken it out of the box yet because I'm still not sure if the color will work or not. I was very disappointed as the color was one of the main reasons why I purchased this product. The only thing white about this desk is the box it came in. 06/14/2011
I'm a very indecisive person, so I must've read the all the product reviews four times over before making my purchase. I decided to go with the desk as my current furniture is a cream color and picture online seemed to match. I must say that I am EXTREMELY satisfied with my purchase!!The parts were shipped in excellent condition and all the needed parts were available. There are so many different components for this desk so it's best to keep all the parts organized according the manual so you are able to find it with ease. Assembly time was about 4 1/2 hours. Now I love to put things together, but this was definitely a VERY tedious job! I don't know how people were able do divvy up the tasks with another person as you must complete all steps one by one as per the manual if you want the finish product to look like the picture.The manual was very comprehensive. I would say that the glue was not necessary, especially if you are prone to making mistakes. When you come to the glue part, do without. Assemble your parts as though the glue hadn't been provided. You wont even know the difference.The finished product is GORGEOUS! Its not white at all but a beautiful true cream color. I'm using my writing table as a vanity since the color is so french country and the curvature of the legs make the product look incredibly expensive. Add a beautiful mirror, a lamp, and some fresh flowers and you have a DIY vanity. My friends love the look, as do I!! 07/08/2009
