Rated 5 out of 5★ by DanBInPhilly Beautiful and Functional Love this piece! My laptop sits on top, which pulls out to make it like a second desk (main desk has desktop PC/monitor). My very large printer (HP 8600) fits inside the main compartment, neat and out of sight except when I need it, when it pulls out for convenience. Telecom gear fits inside the hidden compartment (DSL modem, router). Built in surge protector gives me all the electric sockets I need. With the cable management features, I don't have a pile of spaghetti behind the desk. Everything is neat and clean, but ready to use whenever I need it.The piece looks fantastic and is very sturdy. Putting it together took a long time, but I went slowly and carefully, after reading the instructions in full and sorting out all the hardware. There were a couple of cases where things weren't entirely obvious, but with a little thought, it was easy to figure out. No real problems. One recommendation: use an electric screwdriver. The instructions say not to, but if you're careful, it will work and speed things up considerably (there are a LOT of screws! :-) Just go slow and don't over tighten. And you should use a manual screwdriver for some connectors (like the cams and t-locks). But I did not use an electric drill until near the end and boy do my hands wish I had.For those who care, the piece (and all Sauder furniture) is proudly made in the USA (Ohio).I also bought the Executive Desk that goes with it (see below, and my review of that product.) They match perfectly and look great together. They make a very classy, professional impression.Highly recommended! 08/21/2013
