Rated 3 out of 5 by abbyharmony This is pressboard, just so you know... not real wood, although it has a covering to look like wood. The appearance is darker than on the website/box - grainy beige, so don't purchase it to match light wood, like birch. It is, however, about half the price here than from other retailers. Full assembly required, and I would recommend extreme care removing the assembly stickers - they pull off the outer material leaving unsightly white marks.If this is for a child, I'd recommend something a bit sturdier and with less sharp corners. It's a cute desk, and although it took a month to be delivered and admittedly was not what I anticipated, it suits my needs/decor just fine. 08/19/2012
