    Very nice

This desk is working out just fine. Just a couple of words of caution. First, be very careful with the large screws. Do not sink them but rather leave them flush and don't reverse them. It is a cheap desk but very attractive. Although it took a while to put together, it was all clearly labeled (except not to sink the screws) and went smoothly. It holds the 23 inch monitor just fine. Didn't have to tilt it just scoot it a little forward. Overall, I'm very pleased but just a tad disappointed I couldn't put the screw covers on. HOwever, I just may glue them on! Very nice for the price. Came package very well'; nothing broken or missing. Not wobbly either. Will get a side table to match.

I needed a small desk for my room and it fit. It was easy to put together and was packaged as they said with no damage. The printer stand to the right holds my all in one large printer. I love this computer desk and use it every day.

    Great "cheap" desk

    Customer review by nilbogg

    4.0 stars by nilbogg

I bought this desk because I needed a cheap smallish desk for my laptop and school books that wasn't going to fall over when the wind blew. It came in the color just as the picture shows (on my computer anyway) and I didn't care that it wasn't a "cinnamon cherry" as that sounds ugly to me. It arrived only 3-4 days after I ordered (with the second cheapest shipping method). Warning, the box is HEAVY. Box had protectors on the edges and wrapped in plastic as well, it didn't seem damaged from shipping. When I unpacked it, one of the pieces was crushed on the edge (see image). They also left out the washer and gave me an extra nail. The washer is for the door, but it works fine without it, too. I put it together myself (19 yr old college student) and it took about 1-2 hours. I suggest having at least two people put it together as there are some steps where someone holding the piece would be helpful, but the instructions were not confusing. After completion, I wiggled the desk to see how sturdy it seemed, and it barely moved (on short carpet). It is also good to note that the back side of the desk is unfinished, so it looks best against a wall. Overall, I think it's a great product for the price. I have included a picture of the damaged piece as well as the finished product with a regular sized kitchen chair and a laptop with a 15.6" screen.

    • 25 inch monitor would have to be angled and there would only be about 21 inches of space on the top after you include the shelf.

    • The area from the side of the desk to the printer stand shelf is 23". The printer shelf does not extend all the way to the front of the desk area. If your place your monitor in the very front of the piece, you have 28". I think it would be tight; however, you're the one that has to live with it.

    • it will probably have to be angled.

    • I wouldn't recommend it. I have a 20 inch monitor and it fits just fine, but anything bigger and you would risk the edge of the monitor bumping into the edge of the upper tray or the wall depending on where you decide to put the desk. Even tilting it would be risky.

    • Yes a 25 inch monitor will fit without angling.

    • Yes, it fits nicely on the larger side (left) of the desk. My monitor is 25" also. I feel it's a bit close to me, but since the keyboard tray slides out, I can move my chair back and pull the keyboard tray out further to give more space between the monitor and myself. It can be turned at an angle or placed straight. Fits real good either way.

Do you need a lot of tools as well?
    by lbear13 7/17/2013
    • It is pretty easy to put together, I used a phillips head screwdriver and a hammer... and a utility knife to cut open the packaging.

    • It wasn't simple for me I'll be honest part of the reasons being I'm a lady and assembling is just not for me, but I asked my friend to assemble it, it took him a while but it didn't look hard for him, and no tools required just a screwdriver

    • Parts are a little heavy so I had to home deliver it. I assembled it myself but would suggest that you do it with someone's help. Just a screw is all you would need. If you have automatic screw gun, that would help.

    • As long as you go along with the instructions, it was very easy. I am a 64 yr old woman, did it by myself

    • If you follow the instructions it's easy to put together. It would make it easier if you had one person to help. I used two screwdrivers... Small hammer and pliers. That's it.

    • Yes it is fairly easy to put together. Just make use of the packaging Styrofoam and/or shoe boxes for stability while putting it together. All you need is a hammer and a Phillips head screw driver.

    • Yes it is fairly easy to put together since I put it together myself. And no you don't need a lot of different tools. I only needed a screwdriver and a hammer for tapping.
