Rice, etc steamer Was not aware that this product was available untilmy wife mentioned she owned one some years ago.Finding this Sanyo steamer on the Walmart website was really helpful. We are changing our eating habits in going to long grain rice types from the quick stuff. The first time in cooking some brown rice, I was greated with a delicious amount of cooked rice. The following cooked white rice was also finished fully cooked. The ability to also steam vegetables is an added plus as we have been using a double boiler for years. This Sanyo cooker is a real winner, and would be a real asset in any kitchen. 03/10/2011

Looks Goods The directions are terrible. You get direct instructions for the smallest or a full load of rice. Nothing in between. This isn't my 1st steamer all previous brands gave 3-4 pages of how long to cook what. Shrimp to veggies but not a cookbook, just times and amounts. Nothing was said about the blast of steam let off without a 10 minute rest unplugged. 02/01/2010
