The Sangean CL-100 Weather Alert Table Top Radio helps you at the right time when you are in need of a weather report. It provides reports on weather forecasts from NOAA and keeps you informed with alerts such as civil emergencies, hazards and evacuations. The patented S. A. M. E. technology of the NOAA weather alert radio is certified with the US hazards or the Emergency Alert System and has the necessary built-in measures to filter and screen unwanted threats. This public alert certified weather radio features a regular AM/FM reception with 10 presets (contributing 5 to the AM band and 5 to the FM band). You can get the info about the program service name, radio text message, and 12-hour formatted clock time in the LCD display with the support of RBDS technology of the FM band. Use the rotary volume controller to adjust the volume.

Excellent unit Nothing but good things to say. Sound quality, bass, is wonderful and clear. Reception is perfect, and the alarm tones and volume settings are beyond expectations. I buy a new weather alert radio every other year, and this one is one I will be hanging onto long term. Excellect features and value. Best I've found, and I use it on the road while storm chasing, over my 7 band CB receiver.If you're looking for something simple for home use, or for professional use as a mobile unit, this is all you will need to stay informed. Install the mobile ant., which is included, and your reception is flawless. The only additional purchase I needed to make was an RCA extention cable for the ant. to run it to the rear of my vehicle. All in all I invested less than $85 for a full, mobile weather alert system. Unplug the ant. and bring it anywhere on battery power, and I'd recommend 8X Ultimate Lithium Ion batteries.GREAT product. The radio performed as advertised. It takes a little getting used to the controls and how they interact. A.M. stations that were very hard to receive are now acceptable. F.M. is very good. The maine feature weather is excellent. a good buy in my estimation. 12/05/2010
