It's a Jewel I bought this Sangean pocket radio for the AM function in particular. I work in sheet metal buildings which blocks most radio signals. This little guy collects sufficient signal to provide me with the broadcast in most of those locations. Controls are simple, when on or off, you can "lock down" the settings so no in-pocket changes. Auto shut off if there are no speakers are plugged in. 15 presets, 5 am, 5 fm per two fm bands, press and hold to set. Clear LCD read out. Did I mention a clear battery meter?Here's all the buttons & switches:1) on/off (right side)2) independent up & down volume (right side)3) 5 preset buttons (top)4) independent up/down tune (face)5) band select (face)6) super-bass select (face)7) Sterio / Mono (left side)8) control lock (back)The controls are intuitive to use. great little pocket radio I bought the radio to use in the gym to listen to the FM channels designated for TV viewing. The reception is great and it really locks in the station. Easy to use and set the memory presets. Only needs one triple A. The AM reception is great as well. Very light. The only draw back is that it does not have a belt clip, but you can use a cell phone case or ipod. I did not like the earphones. Dorky looking, but other than that a great product. 07/24/2010

A Great Little Radio I walk my dog mornings, and I like to listen to the radio while doing so.I'm far enough away from any FM radio stations, that reception up until now with other radios I've tried has been terrible.VERY satisfied with this radio! Stations are clear, and remain so throughout our 4mi. sojourns.I wasn't expecting it to be so light. Carrys very nicely in a shirt pocket. 12/02/2010
