Sandisk Sansa 2GB Clip+ MP3 Player, Black 4.3 5 201 229
plays M3U playlists! I couldn't be happier with this player. It is very tiny (about the size of a matchbox) yet has very good sound, and the battery charge lasts a long time. The ability to add storage with low-cost microSD or microSDHC cards is awesome! Another great feature is its ability to play M3U playlists, which can be easily created using Windows Media Player. It took me a while to figure out how to do this. Here is how:To create an m3u playlist using files already on the player or its SD card, do the following:Before connecting the player to the computer, change the USB mode on the player to MSC. (Settings -> System Settings -> USB Mode -> MSC)Then connect the player to the computer using the USB cable, and browse the player or SD card to find the songs you want to include in the playlist. Drag and drop these into the “Now Playing list” in Windows Media Player. On the Windows Media Player file menu, select “Save Now Playing list as…” and save it as an .m3u file in the root directory of either the Sandisk player’s internal memory or the SD card, depending on which location the songs are from. (I haven’t yet figured out how to create a playlist using songs from both the internal memory and the SD card.) 07/21/2010
reliable product My daughter has used her player for over a year now for almost exclusively downloadable audiobooks. We have never had a problem with it.For the money we have found it to be an excellent value and a great first mp3 purchase. 02/02/2010
Everyone should have one! This is the best of my nine mp3 players. I did not get along with the ipod and started buying other brands...This Sandisk Sansa Clip is my third Clip style from Sandisk. This one includes a micro card slot and I downloaded the bible being read on my micro card via a regular SD card adapter and reader. It is wonderful. I always enjoyed the ease and style of the Sandisk Clips, but this one tops them all. The window is clear and gives the options clearly. The buttons are set to allow simple operation. The on and off button is easy to find; the volume control which is usually on the side of the device (and I loved that) is still very very easy to operate when listening. I truly enjoy and love this product and I am 71 years old just getting used to all the new tech stuff. I took this with me traveling to New York and listened to radio shows and music and the bible while on the plane and later on a two hour train ride to visit my son. The time flew and the clip allowed me to just clip it onto my shirt, put the ear buds in and enjoy. 04/25/2010
Very impressed! I wanted an mp3 player to use while running, but didn't want to spend the $$ on an iPod. This Sansa is a great bang for the buck. It does everything I needed it to do and more. I didn't expect or need an FM tuner or Voice recorder, but they're on this unit too. It's tiny, but the buttons are quite manageable.First I used Windows Explorer to drag and drop files and folders onto it, and that worked fine. Then I decided to try using Windows Media Player to handle the syncing to my PC, and that's worked really well too.I was also pleased with the ear buds. I expected them to be disposable, but they actually sound quite good.Tip for audiobooks: use a mp3 tag editor to make sure the "genre" field on each files is set to "Audiobook". When the files are moved onto the Sansa, they will end up in the Audiobook category which enables bookmarking on more than one audiobook simultaneously.Another tip: go into the EQ settings, choose "Custom" and shape the sound to your liking. The presets are ok, but I got it to sound even better by customizing it myself. 07/15/2010
