Sandhill Outdoor 7-Piece Sofa Sectional Set 4.3 5 228 239
Sandhill Outdoor Setional Review I purchased 2 of these sectional sets due to our large size yet under-used deck layout. The Sets arrived on time, in good condition. The shipping fee was a bit high at 200 for 2 Sets. The best thing about this set is the flexibility, it mentions it comes with a corner, bench, and 2 end chairs but can be configured as 5 individual chairs. I ordered two and with the flexibility it fits our once seldom used upper deck perfectly! The color of the cushions is actually a bit darker than the photo shows (more mocha colored with chocolate brown piping), it has boxed seat cushions and a loose pillow back. Additionally it comes with 2 throw pillows per set.It does require assembly, and took about 4 hours for 2 sets to be completely assembled. The only negative is the mounting of the legs on the ottomans, this is a poor design, and I do not see them holding up well over time under heavy use. If you're not loading them down with alot of legs or weight when moving them though they should hold up ok. Otherwise I suggest using only one of them (it comes with 2) and saving the other one for down the road.Hope this review helps out, this is a great value with straightforward, easy assembly, offers extremely flexible arrangements to the shape of the sectional and IT IS COMFORTABLE!!! 04/07/2008
Good value Okay... I got my Sandhill Patio set today. It was two weeks to the day from when I ordered it. Not bad.The delivery company was great in setting up the delivery...charges were a little expensive at 100 plus dollars...wish Walmart had delivery to store option. The box was torn but nothing was missing.Once you figure out what piece goes where, (about 4o-50 mins) it did not take very long to put the set together. The directions are very "BASIC".The chairs took between 20-30 mins each to put together. The corner chair took the longest. The tables were a little longer in time... maybe 45 mins each...the screw holes were tight and it took several tries to get them tight.Once together, the set is really prettty neat. It is five seperate chairs. One corner chair, one right arm chair, one left arm chair, and two chairs with no arms. The chairs sit about 12" off the ground and the seat cushions are about 5" thick. I am 5'4" and it feels prettty comfortable to me. All the chairs have these really neat little latches on the bottom so you can put them together and they will not come apart when you sit on them. The directions came with a sheet showing all of the ways they could be used and set up.The ottoman/tables are really heavy! The tops are made for solid metal strips put together. The cushions set on top held on by velco straps. The seat cushions do have velcro straps to hold them on but the back pillows do not. I may add some velcro later in the summer once I see how they feel. The fabric is really nice too. It is a textured polyesther fabric, not slick but feels more like a heavy cotton fabric. It is a darker color then the photo. More of a dark khaki gray with dark brown piping stitched on edges. The frames are a dark brown and kind of flat not a shiny finish.I will keep you posted as the summer progresses on how the set is holding up. I will take the cushions inside when I am not useing them. I plan on setting my patio furniture on my lower deck that is covered. I am sure during the winter I will take the set in so the weather and wind will not damage my set.... may help keep it nice longer. 03/31/2009
Great Buy!! I purchased this product after being inspired by a $3500 sectional outdoor sofa in A pottery barn catalogue- checked the internet the idea of a sectional for a more reaonable price- outdoor furniture in CT does not get used yearly, and sees a fair share of rain, however, loved the idea for our oversized deck. So i found this sandhill sectional- liked hte photo, and read the reveiws, which ive learned to rely on.Its Really a GREAT value- its looks very cool, not cheap and cheesy at all- i love it, it really makes our deck feel like an outdoor living room. Once piece was dented, they sent a replacement after a phone call- but my husband came home and managed to force it into place, and VOILA! for the money, its really awesome. Its a lighter shade than it appeared on the internet- i like it more. it a khaki color.Youll love this sofa! ( i bought the extra throw pillows elsehwere for added color) 07/22/2009
Decent, but not impressive Overall the product is fine. It looks nice and does what was expected. However, there are a few drawbacks that we were disappointed about. First, the shipping costs were astronomical. At $100+, you would expect them to come and set it up. Second, the seating supports are vinyl straps versus a metal frame like the rest of the piece. Why would they create metal furniture but supplement the seating base with metal straps? That was unexpected. Third, the cushions are a little thin. Fourth, the tables were a little hard to put together because of the allen wrench oriented bolts. There were some positives: the color is very nice and neutral enough to fit in any setting, the pieces can be put into any combination and lock together nicely, the price was affordable, it came with extra nuts and bolts which was contrary to what others said in their reviews and it arrived within about 10 days.Overall, for the price, it is adequate furniture. 08/17/2008
