About the Plastic Umbrella Base
This Plastic Umbrella Base is a great way to keep your patio umbrella grounded through the wind and rain of summer storms. With a tight connection to the lower part of an umbrella frame, the base is a sturdy way to keep your patio umbrella from tipping over or blowing away. The base ships empty, but you can fill it with water, making it 44 pounds, or with both sand and water, making it 66 pounds. It's the perfect heavy base for keeping your umbrella right where it belongs. This umbrella stand is not designed to support free standing umbrellas. The neck of this umbrella base will accomodate umbrellas with a pole diameter up to 1.43-inch.
