Nice product I did some research, and picked this unit up. I made a quick 5 minute video, put it on a DVD and was impressed. 5 megapixel camera works good, sound is decent. The video quality is much better outside than inside our house, but that is expected no matter what your using. It will be nice and handy.Pros: Image stabilization, 720 &1080 HD modes. Comes with with a bonus Micro SD 4GB card and card reader. For over all general use this will work fine.Cons: Flip out USB connector. If anything is gonna break this is it. I would rather use a cord to connect to the PC.Overall: For $99 on black Friday and I think it is a decent deal. Price vs what I have done so far with the unit makes me give it a 4 out of 5. 11/25/2011
Great Value & Camera This is a great little camera for the money! It's clearly not a production quality video camera, it's a handheld, and a nice one too. I had a flip video that was destroyed by moisture from sitting poolside and this camera produces nicer video than my Flip HD 8gb did. Just like the flip, the sound on this camera isn't optimal -- it's fine for family gatherings, but you might be disappointed if you use it to record your daughters concert piano recital. The image stabilization seems to work well and playback of these videos on a 42" HDTV looks fantastic. I'm really pleased with how much light this lens lets in. Under low light conditions ANY video camera will begin to get a little grainy, but this lens lets in so much light that the videos aren't as grainy as my flip videos were in the same light conditions. With ANY small and light handheld video you have to be careful to keep your hand steady, not pan too fast etc.... but I am not at all disappointed with this little camera. I'm quite pleased indeed. 12/04/2011
My husband decided for Christmas that I was getting a new camcorder. He told me he was getting me one and told me to chose one. After hours of searching the internet, we BOTH chose this one. I love everything about the Samsung. It is amazing. Sunday is our "Beach Day" when we take our 3 kids to the beach. I have wondered about salt (from the ocean) and the manuel told me how to take care of that.The picture it AMAZING. I took a video of a TV program and showed my husband; he thought it was the original program.I love the feature that allows me took capture, or take a picture during recording, or after I have already recorded, it is so easy and is an amazing feature.There is only ONE bad thing I have to say. There is no flash. If it is dark, you cannot take a good picture. BUT it is a camcorder, and I do not expect to always have good light. If you want a good PICTURE AT NIGHT, use your camera, with a flash.OVERALL, this is an AMAZING pruduct. Not only would I recomend this to my friends, I HAVE recomended this to over 5 of my friends. I love this camcorder and ALWAYS recomend this to EVERYBODY!! 12/14/2011
this camera was better than anything i have ever owned.it was better than wat i thought i would b getting. the hd is clear and the sound is crisp. would buy this for a friend or a love one. 02/10/2012
