Samsung Upconvert DVD Player 64 70
nice this is the only upconvert that doesn't say "near HD". It is full H.D. you can select up to 1080p on the menu. it is also the only one that lets you rip from cd's right on to a flash drive. I also like you can use most funtions without a remote. it does have nice remote as well. the picture and sound are great. you can tell this is the newest unit walmart has at this time. it is defininetly worth the money. 09/03/2009
Best DVD player ever owned...for the price. In this price range this DVD player simply cannot be beat for all its features!! If you are just the average movie watcher then this player really offers you nothing special. Now if you are the savy internet person...and you know about DivX..then this IS the player for you!!! I am absolutely blown away by this product! DivX encoded movies are usually DVD quality...and less then 1/4 the file size....on average around 700MB!! What does this mean...it means you can have the same movie quality, and store say 4 to 6 movies in the same amount of harddrive space as just 1 common coded DVD movie!! This player works flawless with my 2.0 USB Thumbdrives, and I partitioned 25GB on one of my portable USB harddrives in FAT32...and it works like a dream. Simply plug and play...it could not be easier!! AND as an added BONUS...this player DOES play PAL format dvd's!! So for the electronics consumer thats (In the Know)...this product is a real sleeper at this price, and is a must have!! Heading out to buy more now, giving them to family members for Christmas!! If you do not know about DivX...google it. I recommend at the very least you purchase an 8GB USB thumbdrive with this product...an external USB harddrive is even better. 11/24/2009
Works Great some issues with playing DivX This DVD Player works great at playing dvd's, no complaints there whatsoever. But I bought this DVD Player because it plays DivX movies also, and when playing those, I do have one issue with it. If you are playing a DivX movie and you pause the movie for about 5 minutes it goes to the screensaver and then back to the menu and you have to start the DivX back over at the beginning you can't just un pause and pick up where you left off which can be aggrevating having to fast forward everytime you pause it for a few minutes. 08/09/2009
this is the best kept secret ive have turned many people on 2 this best kept secret,this thing up converts very nicely and with the usb port on the front that plays divx movies,music,and pictures,what more could you ask for.buy youreself a usb memory stick and load it up with tv shows and or movies,and wala,nice picture.and the other secret is if you buy a external hard drive ,and format it to fat 16 or 42,you can load it up big time with divx movies.why burn youre tv shows and movies when you can just load youre usb stick or hard drive.get this while you can,these are becoming rare in america. 09/04/2009
