Some Samsung Blu-ray players and Samsung Blu-ray Home Theater systems may require a firmware update periodically to play certain discs that have added layers of content or features. Firmware updates are becoming more common in many connected CE products as the industry evolves and Samsung is making it easy for consumers to get these updates through one of the following methods:
1. Download firmware from www.samsung.com/firmware onto a USB drive or burn a CD and then connect the drive (to the USB Port or insert the disc) to install the firmware on your Blu-ray player.
2. Install firmware from your home Internet connection directly to your internet connected Blu-ray player for models with this capability.
3. For customers that do not have internet access or are experiencing difficulty performing the download, they can contact Samsung Customer Service at 1-800-SAMSUNG and have an upgrade disc mailed to them for their player free of charge

Nice but not perfect I recently purchased a 46" Samsung TV from Walmart and wanted this player to round out the package. I have enjoyed the player but was disappointed that some of the features are hard to use.Pro- Sounds Great and is very loud- Very sleek and nice looking- Does a great job playing from my iTouch with the included dock. (when you finally find the right screen)Con- Remote does not have good range and isn't a "learning style" remote, it will control some of the TV functions- Menu is very confusing and you have to go through multiple screens to use the iPod dock.- Samsung advertises that their compatible products will recognize each other and integrate automatically, This only works about 50% of the time the rest of the time the TV will not recognize the Blu-Ray player and shows "digital source"- The speaker connections at the back of the unit are a special connector and you have to use the supplied wires, cant upgrade to better cables. 09/01/2010
Good system - Great Price Good system for the price. You will need a seperate Linkstick for the wireless internet though. Subwoofer is not powered. Also, cannot add additional speakers, and must use their connectors. 08/27/2010
The description of the item was not detailed enough and I didn't have sufficient infomation. I bought the item anyway because of the price but then had to spend the $100 I saved on a HDMI switch so the I could use it with my cable box. 12/21/2010
