Great Prosumer Grade Camcorder I went out on a limb with this purchase and so far I have no regrets.- The sound and video quality are great. I've used it in several different environments over the past couple of weeks and it performs well. I will say that even with the cameras features that help in low light environments, there is no substitute for some extra lighting. I would recommend picking up an attachable light.- As I said, the sound is surprisingly great for an onboard mic. I was a little disappointed to find that there was not a port to connect an outside mic to the camera. However, after a night of recording a local band, I was surprised by the sound that was captured.- The camera is very small and light weight. At around 1lb, it's about as light weight as it gets.- The camera connects to any computer with ease. The included software does not need to be installed and simply loads off of the camera each time you connect it. This was a pleasant surprise and it makes it easy to download your videos no matter where you are, no installation required.All and all, I'm very happy with the camera. Obviously, it may not stack up to a professional grade camera, but at the prosumer level, it's a great deal. 04/13/2011
Overall it's pretty good for a beginner. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 is because the focus it's not as fast as others I have had before. Specially in scenes that the subject moves or changes quite fast. You have to wait some time for the camera to readjust/refocus. But for the price, it was a good deal. :) 07/01/2011
It's a good deal I'm really satisfied with this camcorder. The resolution of the video and still pictures is excellent. And I could capture still photos while recording a video with a very good quality. However, the still pictures taken with close up zoom are not so good, I think this is due to the sensitivity to the shaking with high zoom. The only con is that I don't believe that this is a 30x optical zoom, my former camcorder with 15x optical zoom used to get the same close up or even higher. I believe it is only 15x in and 15x out.In general, you can get a professional videos and photos with this camcorder with real full HD. 06/10/2011
