It is not at all harsh and has a pleasant scent (unlike some other cuticle removers I have tried). After using this, my hands look like I just got a salon manicure! Great value for the money. I have really bad cuticles and I needed something to dissolve them fast, so I purchased the Sally Hansen instant cuticle remover and I used it right away. This 15 second formula literally melted my cuticles away! And my nails are still looking healthy and cuticle free. 07/07/2012
