The Saitek PZ44 Pro Flight Yoke System is precision engineered to meet the exact needs of the serious flight simulation enthusiast. A stainless steel shaft, which is meticulously designed, provides smooth and predictable elevator and aileron control. Patented SST software programmed in this flight yoke joystick has an integrated mode switch that triples the controls at your fingertips. Incorporated chronograph and separate throttle quadrant provides and accurate and very realistic flying experience. The unique, two-position desk clamp will allow you to affix your yoke and quadrant in any flying condition. The advanced Saitek flight game controller configures and saves your preferred gaming styles as personal profiles.

    Great Controller This is a VERY realistic controller for MS FSX- just a bit on the stiff side but as good as it gets without dynamic feedback. The unit is solidly built and is very close to a Cessna 172 yoke. I use a keyboard undertray, so the supplied yoke clamp would not fit on my computer desk without getting in the way of the keyboard; however I just use a 10lb barbell on top of the yoke support box, and that works great. The throttle/mix/pitch clamp is well thought out, and works fine off to the side.The only real complaint I have is that the default switch settings are not quite right -- and changing them is time consuming. I use the rudder pedals too, and hitting the brakes would cause screens to change! You really need to go into the MS FSX settings and make sure that every switch is set the way that YOU want it - and everything else is turned OFF. Now that that's done I LOVE the way it works. I use the yoke hat switch to change view angle (up-down...). The flap position and elevator trim are on yoke switches as well. The throttle/mixture/trim works as you would expect and an added bonus is the 3 switches on this unit. I toggle the audio communications window with one of the switches. I'm thinking about what I want to do with the other 5!Paired with the rudder pedals you get a very realistic simulator experience (I'm a private pilot - and the Skyhawk is spot on). If you get the yoke and rudder setup, you'll wonder how you ever flew without them.Hits:This is really how you control a plane - not with a keyboard.Solid construction - like a real aircraft control.User configurable switch functions.Misses:Default switch setup not quite right.Yoke clamp could be more versatile. 12/12/2008
    Great tool for student pilots Very similar to a cessna 172 yoke. It seemed not to be quite as responsive as the real thing (e.g. required a somewhat exaggerated pull forward to attain the desired take off angle and it also seemed not to require much of a pull forward during turns unlike the real craft), but it did come close. Anyway, I'm a student pilot, and I can tell you this is probably worth it if you're trying to learn to fly. It is much much better than trying to get by with your mouse and keyboard while playing flightx. 05/31/2011
    A Must-have For Avid "Simmers" Well-built, easy to install and use.Pros: Lots of control functions (buttons, etc.) you can customize to your liking, convenience of auxilary USB ports, sturdy desk mount design, installs/removes easily from desk edge.
