The SVAT Covert Alarm Clock DVR with Built-in Color Spy Camera is a video recording system that can be used for monitoring discreet situations. Disguised as a Magnasonic alarm clock, the TWR300-SD pinhole spy camera can shoot high-quality color video continuously for 40 days. The SVAT alarm clock is connected to a DVR (Digital Video Recorder), which records videos in the MPEG-4 video format. Place the alarm clock on your table and record video, completely undetected. When you want to watch the recorded footage, you need to connect the alarm clock unit to your television. You can even take out the SD card from the spy camera clock and insert it into the card reader of your system to watch and backup the required footage. This hidden camera alarm clock has in-built motion detecting sensor, which records only the motion detected scenes to save the memory card space. easy read alarm clock failed surveillance DVR I bought this clock to catch someone bumping my lock and burglarizing the place.Here are the reasons I returned it.It required a TV to set up and comes with a short RCA cable of some sort.A longer version was not available at common electronic stores.The documentation does not tell you the factory defaults.Tech support was a 30 minute hold to 800# then the call was cancelled. Wastes your minutes.Odd Windows media video file format cannot be read on the Mac without special downloaders.Performance:It requires a lot of light on the subject you want to film.There is no good color.Color is terrible mud brown under incandescent or washed out nearly black and white.Walmart advertises the item PHOTO instead of the box so the thief recognized the clock.It filmed only a black blob back of the head cause they ducked.The following is true, but not exactly a "PRO".The clock looks like the photo on the Walmart web page.The SD card is well hidden by a panel that requires a hex tool (provided).Save your money and go to another spy site and buy a DVD case or higher up wall clock for the same. RETURNED the clock for a refund due to the difficulties.Why can't I use my own nickname if I am logged in as myself? 10/20/2011
