The Perky-Pet Squirrel-Be-Gone wild bird feeder features six feeding ports, U-shaped perches and a 3.4 lb. seed capacity. The feeding ports have sturdy metal perches that allow birds to feed comfortably but, when the squirrels perch on them, their weight causes the entire metal casing to slip down, completely blocking the feeding ports and their access to the seed. The interior seed tower is surrounded by rustic metalwork.

So far the squirrels have attempted to get food but drop quickly and don'tcome back. I am so pleased that I can now sit and watch the birds peacefully. 03/15/2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Admiral1996 These feeders are for the birds not the squirels The only problem I had with my feeders was the weight adjustment. I had to re bend the wire that goes into the adjustment holes other wise they wires would pop out. After that they worked fine 08/10/2010

The perches are small enough to keep doves, and jays out, but not too small for cardinals, goldfinches, wrens, finches etc. Stays open for downy woodpeckers, too. 08/03/2010

People keep telling us that the squirrels will find a way to get the seed but we've seen hide nor hare of the them :). Works very well and we'll probably buy another one! 06/19/2010
