    SOG PowerLock With V-Cutter 4.3 5 4 4
    Depends on What You Need I also own a Leatherman Wave (older model), and so am using that as a frame of reference. The pliers/wire cutters/crimper on the SOG are definitely stronger with the compound leverage. I think the other tools on the Leatherman are a little better made (Leatherman file is much better). I also prefer Leatherman's access to some tools from the outside instead of having to open the tool up like the SOG. The SOG is also a much larger tool. Overall the SOG is good, and if you are looking for good pliers with some accessories, then it may be the best on the market. Personally I use all of the tools when I am working and the bottle opener after, and find the Leatherman to fit my needs a little better. Most places I have seen have the Leatherman Wave more expensive than the SOG, but if it is what you need then another 15 bucks is not such a big deal. I have used my Leatherman every day for ten years and will keep carrying it - maybe even buy the new and improved model at some point. I gave the SOG to my daughter, who is kind of a tomboy type and really likes it. I guess in a purse the size isn't much of an issue and the file will work great on fingernails. I'm not knocking the SOG, it just depends on what you need. 01/08/2011
    Good Multi-Tool The tool unfolds very easily, and it is confortable on the hand. Powerlock feature allows user to cut wires with little effort. The tools on the handle can be changed and configured to users preferences. The ruler on the tool is about 9 inches or 23 cm long. The sheath is made of durable cordura which holds it shape well. Velcro is used to keep the sheath flap close. The plastic clip on the back of the sheath allows for easy mounting onto a belt or pocket. The sheath with the multi-tool inside is about 5 inches high x 1 7/8 inches wide x 1 3/4 deep. The multi-tool by itself is 4 5/8 inches high x 1 1/2 inches wide x 3/4 inches deep.The cons of the SOG multitool. If you try to fold out a tool from the handle, usually another tool next to it will fold out along with it. The lanyard loop hole is too small to attach a standard lanyard.     This thing is awesome I just got it today. First thing I did with it was use the PowerLock pivoting pliers to cut a penny....Barely a squeeze and the penny was cut. These things put out a TON of power in the pliers. The blade is razor sharp. The tool opens/closes like butter. The only complaint I have is the locking mechanism is subpar. 09/19/2010
    Good tool The only complaint I have with this knife is the guards that cover all of the tools when unfolded seem to be a little loose and they make a clicking sound when you put pressure on them while using the pliers. Other than that, this knife seems to be completely solid. 09/09/2010
