Rated 5 out of 5 by ticali Amazing hoop! This is not your normal amateur over-the-door basketball hoop. This thing looks and even feels like a real basketball hoop. It makes the perfect gift for any guy out there. The only thing, as mentioned in other reviews, the ball is a little too real for indoor use. You should get a nerf ball or another softer ball that wont wreck the place. Although the ball that comes with the hoop is really nice. 07/09/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by amd73 very sturdy product, with cushion on the backside to protect the door. However, the ball that comes with it is the same composition as a regular basketball just smaller. Had to buy a small nerf type basketball to keep from items in my son's bedroom from getting damaged. 07/05/2010

Has great foam on back of backboard to protect door.Ball is very hard---we bought some foam balls.Easy to put togetherLooks great (it is for my husband---nice that it isn't a really childish one)Only drawback: the metal tabs on top fit better on some closed doors than others. If the space is too tight, the metal can rub on the paint in the door frame. I gave it 5 stars because this is not a problem for us. 06/27/2010

The only thing you have to do is take the hoop and screw it to the backboard--it already comes with and place the hoop net on the hoop. I really like that you do not have to put any holes into your door...just place over the top of the door and the kids are ready to play. It looks just like a miniature basketball hoop and the hoop is just like the real thing! It is not plastic, but metal and sturdy. It is also a challenge to shoot the hoop and this is more fun. It is good practice for anyone playing with it. The little basketball comes with it, but you have to inflate it yourself. So you need an air pump. Also, I had to buy another small basketball, so that my small boys would not fight over the one ball. They are cheap and you can find them anywhere. Highly recommend and even my husband plays with the boys in the den! :) 06/23/2010
