Rated 5 out of 5★ by SHEEPPP PERFECT Perfectly accurate. I can shoot a G2 energy drink CAP, not bottle, 35ft away. And the pellet doesn't drop in the range. It has 1 red dot on front sight and 2 green dots on rear sight which makes it easier to aim than any other Crosman in the same price range. 2 knobs adjust rear sight which make it millimeter accurate. And after every time you cocck it, the safe is on automatically, unlock it before shooting. That is good for clumsies who might shoot their foot. 09/22/2011

Rated 4 out of 5★ by Timbal Great little rifle! I've had this rifle for about six months now. Been pretty broke lately, so I haven't had the chance to go out to the range and get some trigger time in. Enter the Ruger Explorer. I wanted something that I could shoot in my backyard or even in the garage with an appropriate backstop. It was only about $55 from my local Walmart, so I picked it up after some research as to some good pellet break barrel rifles. With the really cheap prices on pellets (Especially comparing it to 5.56MM ammo for my other rifles), it was a no brainer. After some time shooting it, I realized that it was a GREAT rifle for younger kids or smaller guys/girls (I'm 5' 6"). It tucks in really nice and many of the touches remind me of a Ruger 10/22 (A classic rifle!). The weight really doesn't feel like much, about four pounds or so, which is a plus when teaching my son some basic shooting concepts. That in turn leads me to the sights. The high visibility sights are really great to use... Bad news is they're really off. That directly led to a loss of a star on this review. Sadly I'm going to have to forego the sights altogether and use a scope (Haven't picked one up yet). Good news is that it's pretty consistent grouping wherever you're shooting, so it's accurate. If you want to own this as a trainer for a young one or just are a smaller built person, this would be a great addition for plinking, practicing basic marksmanship fundamentals, and just plain fun. If you shoot indoors, make sure you have a good backstop. This thing dented the aluminum that may garage door is made of. ;) A phone book made for a great backstop, BTW. =) 08/13/2012
Rated 3 out of 5★ by impactds Sights Need Improvement Overall this gun is great for juniors. However, if you want to teach proper sight picture for open sights, this gun is terrible. Out of the box the rifle shoots low and the rear sight is maxed out with hits still low of bull. It is possible to fix this by raising the rear sight with a mod. Or you can replace the sights. You can also change your sight picture to correct for this, but what fun is that. 02/28/2012
