Useless design all around for useability. I was hoping to use this rack for pull-out spice storage in a lower cabinet. Here is why I think this product is, in general, poorly designed for cabinet use.--Product is 16" deep. Standard lower cabinets are 24" deep. Standard upper cabinets are 12" deep.--If I were to attach the base to a 24" deep lower cabinet, there would be 8" of inaccessible dead space behind the rack. Doesn't fit at all in an upper cabinet.--Only the front half of the rack is really useable. The front 8" extend beyond the cabinet face. The back 8" are still inside the cabinet and accessible only from the sides. That means I can't have anything on either side of the rack or I can't reach in and get anything out that is located in the back half.--No side "walls" to hold in the contents of the rack shelves. So, items on the upper rack would likely be falling out and over the sides with motion. And if you had side walls on the bottom portion of the rack, you couldn't get the contents out at all.It's not worth the trouble to take it back so I now have it as kind two tiered shelf in the under sink cabinet and it nicely stores my bulk sponges, although I think it now takes up more space than the cellophane exterior wrapper that held all the sponges before.Am I totally missing the beauty of this product?? 01/05/2012

Good idea if you have the right shelving I received this as a sample to try out and was initially very excited about it. However, when it arrived, I quickly realized that it didn't fit into any of our shelves. We have wood shelving in our cupboards and the frame around the door comes out about an inch past the edge of the shelf so I would have to put this right in the middle of my shelf and drill holes. It also wasn't deep enough, so items could easily get lost behind the rubbermaid rack.I think that this would be an ideal product for someone with wire shelving in the cupboards or pantry since it wouldn't neccessitate drilling any holes and from the pictures that the've posted, seems the best fit overall.The rack ended up in my window ledge with my empty canning jars on the top and bottom that I use for making salsa so it wasn't a total loss :) 04/21/2011
