Rated 4 out of 5 by lfmkem Not able to fully review We purchased it for a gift. We didn't use it at all and didn't thoroughly look it over. For the amount of pieces and the price, it looked like a very good value The knives had 3 "anchors" to hold them together so they looked sturdy. I have considered purchasing one for myself. 12/31/2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by setinstone Good set for the money I have collected knives for 40 years including high-end kitchen cutlery (Henkels, Dexter-Russell, Dick, Forschner made by Victorinox). This is a good set for the money especially the good-looking block. Most of the blades are serrated, which presents difficulties in sharpening and they are much thinner. I was using a set of Dexter-Russell with only the bread knife serrated.The Ronco block is very nice and appears well-made. The steak knives seem not to be as sharp, but I have not used these yet. For the money I would recommend trying this set. 12/31/2010

Especially since I got them for $25.00 which I believe was on sale. I have not seen a better knife set and block that even comes close to this price and that is not junk. Think I will buy some gift sets. 12/31/2010
