Riddel Warrior Youth Shoulder Pads This is a very good set of pads for young players. The rib pads and connectivity to the shoulder pads add extra protection to the players, but are light weight and compact. Many youth pads I looked at were a bit bulky and heavy. These work well for my boy, who plays both guard and nose tackle/LB in youth ball. I would recommend this to younger kids and beginning players. If you buy this, tie knots around the pull string on the chest cavity to keep the connector from slipping off the strings. 08/31/2010
