About the author

Biography of Kiyosaki, Robert T.

Robert Kiyosaki was born and raised in Hawaii, and is a fourth-generation Japanese-American. He attended college in New York, and after graduating, joined the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam as an officer and helicopter gunship pilot. After the war, Robert worked for the Xerox Corporation as a salesman. In 1977, he started a company that brought the first nylon Velcro 'surfer wallets' to market. In 1985 he founded an international education company that taught business and investing to students throughout the world.

In 1994 Robert sold his business and retired at the age of 47. During this somewhat short-lived retirement, Robert, collaborating with co-author Sharon Lechter, a C.P.A. and his business partner, wrote the bestselling book " Rich Dad, Poor Dad".

Customer Product Reviews

Rated 2.2 out of 5★ by 9reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5★ by misleading product I must say that I had a laugh when I first opened my pint size book. Its so small my daughters mouse could read it. I gave it to her for a barbie book. Its not the full size book, its a mini book at only 2 inches. After my laugh, I got upset when I read the description and it never said it was pint size other than in the dimensions. I would have never thought Walmart would have to stoop to a misleading ad. 02/21/2010
Rated 4 out of 5★ by a great book but to small the book itself is a great book and a must read, but be careful which book you order...i order this book thinking i was getting a great deal , when i recieved it in the mail the book was literally the size of a keychain photo. this book is about 2X3 inches in size. again the content is great and useful but make sure your buying a full size book and not a tiny one...it feels like your reading a little kids toy book it is so small..im going to order another "adult sized" rich dad poor dad book, so i dont lose it in my pocket.....again the content and info is great and i would highly recommend every father read it , just be aware when you order it to make sure it is the size of book you want. 12/01/2010
Rated 1 out of 5★ by WRONG WRONG WRONG This is not the FULL sized book. It is a tiny mini summarized book with the same name as the full book. This book is only 1 inch by 1 inch. There are 10 words per page. 01/05/2010
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Attention! this is a darn mini book This is not the full book and is only 1/4 the size of a regular book. I was so mad when I got this because they do not specifically say that in the description. It was quickly returned 11/01/2012
Rated 1 out of 5★ by Not meeting Standards. I really wish I would of known that this book was going to be 3 inches big. I NEVER would of bought it or wasted my time spending money on something that seems to be a joke! There should have been a message saying this book is the size of a pocket dictionary. I am not satisfied, and this purchase does NOT meet my standards!I went to a regular book store to buy a regular sized book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" 01/26/2013
Rated 1 out of 5 it was a joke it was about 3 inches tall not a real book at all 12/22/2012
Rated 5 out of 5★ by huge things come in small packages This little book has very valuable insights on the different mindset of successful people against the average joe, in a few words it says, do what others wont do and get what others don't have. 06/10/2010
