I purchased over a year ago and love this. I don't use it on loose twirl but keep the roller locked and Walla! Perfect hair every time. No need for a curling iron.

Yes, the hair gets tangled. The directions say: “Release curls by placing the finger of one hand on the cool tip and pressing the rotate barrel button with the other hand. Be sure to let the cool tip rotate while you press the button.” This gave me the impression that the barrel rotates. Silly me. The barrel did not rotate. I called the company and was told that it does not rotate, but it just loosens and lets you pull the brush out. It does NOT loosen. It actually pulls out any curt and lift that I managed to get in. It does not seem to have much drying power. The barrel gets hot, but there isn’t enough air blowing to dry my hair. My old 300W Conair does a much better job but the barrel is too big for my newly shortened hair. I’d still be using it if the smaller brush hadn’t gotten lost in my recent move. Since I bought the Revlon for the smaller brush rotating brush, it's going back today. Additionally, the Revlon Perfect Heat 300W Hot Air Styler and Dryer is marked 500W. (It feels like I imagine a 100W would feel.) One star because it's better than nothing.

I have always used these sorts of brushes, usually from Revlon or Conair, and have completely loved them. When my last brush was ruined (2 year old decided to test it as a toilet brush-- no, it was not plugged in at the time), I went to Walmart and since this was the only in-store choice, I decided I couldn't go wrong.. Well, I was certainly mistaken in thinking so! There is NO power or heat to this thing whatsoever! The high setting is less powerful than the low setting on my last brush. Although the price sounds great, its garbage.. $18 worth of trash. It did nothing for my hair and took ages to dry and then style. In the end it takes less time for me to blow dry it and style with a large barrel curling iron.. I'll be on the lookout for another styling brush though. I absolutely love them. My hair-- thick, layered, long.

The product itself works quite well on my bob hairstyle. But the quality of the brushes need improvement. I had the dryer for less than ten days when the smaller brush cracked at the base. It will not stay in the dryer part with the crack so you can only use the larger brush. However, I did crazy glue the crack and so far so good it's holding. I plan on contacting Revlon about this and see if they can replace the smaller brush.

My hair type: fine , layered, medium length, I was so excited about my purchase that when I got home I had to try it out. The results I have to say were amazing and the bounce, and shine I got were comparable to if I had just come out of a salon.

    • A. I use it as a hair dryer with the brush after every wash and typically let my hair air dry a little so it is not soaking wet and so I am not exposing my hair to long exposure to heat.

    • A. My hair is fine and thin. I washed my hands and shook off the excess water. I then ran my hands through my hair to dampen and it took forever to dry it.

    • A. These sorts of brushes work wonderfully with wet hair.. Dry and style as you go.. However, this one is TERRIBLE! I suggest you look for another one. You can do much better for $20.

    • A. You need to towel dry your hair as much as you can prior to using this product or use a regular dryer until it's half dry. Than you can use this product.
