Rated 1 out of 5★áby Sragee the perfect bun (for girls) I bought this for my daughter; looked easy enough just slide hair though, wrap, and connect. It just didn't stay put, kept falling out. The bun itself would separate so you would see the foam piece underneath. If anyone has any pointers for preventing this it would be appreciated. As of right now I feel like I wasted my money. 02/20/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★áby mzmom Exactly what we needed I love it-- it really does make the perfect bun. My daughter has very fine hair, and not much of it; there is no way I can put it in a bun for her dance class/recital without this product. The adult size is too big for her but she is 5 so we use the girls' version which is the same but smaller than the adult version. I think a girl with thick hair or lots of fine hair would be able to use the adult size. The directions are very simple #put hair in pony, put through product, slide down pony, roll up# but a few tips would be very helpful-- and probably help those who gave terrible reviews. Open the wire enough to get it all the way to the top of your pony and then flatten it again. As you slide the product down the hair, you MUST spread out the hair across the opening. Depending on your hair, you may only be able to move it so far down before hair starts to slip out-- at that point, start rolling upwards and the messy bits get tucked in. When you reach the pony's rubber band/elastic, spread hair enough to cover one end then curve/press/squeeze that end around elastic. Spread hair as much as you can around remaining end to hide the foam and then wrap/curve/squeeze it to finish the bun shape. We need a few small bobby pins to slide into the hair on the outside end to keep it in place covering the foam. No big deal and the pins can't be seen. The bun has never fallen out and looks great every time. 05/05/2014
Rated 5 out of 5★áby PennyH This works great for me I am hopeless with hair gadgets, but I got this one right on the second try and it works great. If you make your pony tail high, you can actually see what you're doing with the twist. It's best if you can spread your hair somewhat evenly across the opening before you start twisting. I tried twisting both up and under and it worked pretty well both ways. Just remember once you twist the wires together, most of your hair is at the bottom, so start spreading from the bottom center, as much hair as you can, and it will cover the twist. My hair is barely shoulder length, medium thickness and the foam helped make a substantial enough bun. The nice thing is once you have it in place, you can lean back against furniture!
