These strips get dipped in urine. No monitor is needed.

You don't NEED a monitor you just hold the test area of the strip in your urine stream or dunk the business end in a urine filled container. The ones you are thinking about work with BLOOD glucose/ketone monitors and are like $5 per test!

From my understanding, any color other than tan indicates you&#39;re in ketosis.

Do these strips measure the urine pH too? It does not seem like, but I may as well ask.

No. Your doctor can, and should be the one to, do that. These strips test for the presence of ketone in your urine, not glucose.

These Strips are a great tool to help me monitor if my body is in ketosis or not. They are at the best price i found on line and it was very convenient to be able to pick them up at my local Walmart. I started a kept diet on 12/15/2016 and I use them quite frequently at least for the first month. I will definitively reorder them. They seem to be accurate.

I purchased these for my 12yr old son who is a T1D to test for keytones when his blood sugar is high. They work good and are easy for him to use.

I started a keto diet awhile ago and so far these are the most accurate urine strips I've found to test ketones.  I know this because I also test with a blood meter! If you're going to test I recommend trying these!

Accurate Results

Side-by-side comparison with one Earth keytone strips. I've lost 13 lbs on keto in 2 weeks  tested daily and NOT 1!!! of the One Earth strips showed no color!  But,  look at RelyOn!  1st stick I tested and it's bright purple.  RelyOn costs $4.00 less and it worked!

Please keep selling these Ketone Strips. I've grown up keeping an eye on my acidosis levels since I became Diabetic in 1970. It's no longer fashionable to keep track of Ketone levels in the day to day care of diabetes, but with the current CoVid19 epidemic it's nice to know if a slight fever or sweating is the onslaught of the disease or a bout of moderate or high ketones.

I just had a baby and it's time for me to shed these baby lbs. I'm doing the keto diet and these strips are exactly what I need to stay on top of my carb I take. These are super easy to use. I just keep them in the bathroom and check my ketones in the morning and evenings. It's awesome that there's a color key on the side of the bottle. It's great.

I'm not sure what these things are supposed to do or if they really work. Maybe my ketones are not high. Lol

On the one hand these test steups will detect ketone levels. Sometimes it is difficult to determine the level as only a small area of the active portion of the strip changes colors. I almost feel like the portion that is placed in your urine stream is not absorbing completely. Consequently so.etumes I am unsure whoch shade the color on the strip matches with the color on the chart.

Work well but hard to read results

I ordered this item for pick up and it was given to me with the tape sealing the box ripped off. It did not occur to me to inspect my entire order--why would I think my medical items would be tampered with?  It cannot be returned as it is a "urine related item."
