Rated 3 out of 5 by BobInNM Didn't work for me I measured the space, read the reviews, and figured they must have miscalculated. Well... Nope, it just didn't fit well. Had to extend the adjustment rods all the way to the very end, making it flimsy. I suppose in the exact, perfect space it would work, but I don't know what that would be. Certainly not the 35.5" I needed. 02/14/2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by luvsgr8tdeals Great gate for the price...low weight tolerance THis gate expands to 52" which is perfect for our living room to den transition way which was 51 1/2". Right now it is mounted on the flat edge of our baseboard on the bottom and the wall on the top. The adjustable knobs on each end are great for fitting to unven spaces as long as the vertical surface you are butting it up against if evenly flat. The grips are very handy too and so far it has stayed on place. We have a 13 month old that sometimes wants to grab the bars and give it a good shake. It does move in and out but so far it has held. I wouldn't recomment putting anything over 10 lbs of weight on it though just in case. THe gate latch is very secure, and not one that can easily be opened by a curious toddler. You have to use force to slide it along the top edge then lift to actually open the gate itself. All in all it's a great product and looks really nice too! Not a wooden eyesore that she can climb over and hurt herself on. I gave it 4 stars because of the way it moves when she's pulling on it but so far it's stayed firmly in place! 02/06/2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by lodee Cheap and crummy looking but has worked so far First of all, this gate is inexpensive so I wasn't expecting much. It is very scrappy looking - especially because I had to extend the screws almost as far as they could to acheive proper tension(to fit in my 59 inch doorway). It was pretty simple to install - had it up in a about 15 minutes. The gate mechanism is easy to work and is of adequate quality. Once my 10 month old gets larger and stonger, I doubt the gate will hold its tension position. It already looks wobbly. This was the only metal gate I could find to fit 59 inch width, therefore the only reason I purchased it. 02/04/2013
