Executive produced by George Lucas and distributed by 20th Century Fox, "Red Tails" is a high-flying action epic inspired by the heroic exploits of the first all African-American aeriel combat unit. Anthongy Hemingway ("The Wire") directs this gripping World War II actioner which features a powerful ensemble cast including Oscar(R)-winner Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ocar(R)-nominee Terrence Howard. As America waged war on fascism overseas, African-Americans took up the fight, battling not only our enemies abroad but also a culture of prejudice reflected in the laws and attitudes of the time, a culture that extended into the ranks of the military itself. Against this backdrop, many young black men heeded the call to serve their country and ultimately become the true American heroes known as the Tuskegee Airmen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EPICCHASE A FUN AND INSPIRING 'TAIL' I LOVED THIS MOVIE! No. 1 its a very inspiring tale of heroism of a group of African-American fighter pilots who the military brass at the time didnt think would suceed but in the end proved all of their naysayers wrong, the story is exicting,fun and educational all at the same time plus the aerial combat special effects are the most realistic I have ever seen in the movies to date. This movie is a must see for WW2 history buffs and action movie fans alike. 06/06/2012
