We bought this along with two of the "small storage ottomans" in brown to store toys, DVDs and video game equipment in our living room and to serve as extra seating for when we have people over. We couldn't be happier with them!!! The rectangle one matches to two small square ones perfectly and they really look more expensive than they are. The stitching looks classy and you can hardly tell that it's not real leather. That being said, if you look really closely, you can see some imperfections in the way that the corners are done and the top doesn't quite line up perfectly with the base if you're type A about that kind of thing (I'm talking a few millimeters), but you would only notice if you were really looking to find imperfections. The hinges are nice in that they hold the top up -- safe for little fingers. The cushion is firm enough to set a drink on top, but cushy enough to sit on. I did notice that it takes a long time for the indentations to go away after you sit on it, though -- or maybe my bum is just particularly bony!!! There's plenty of storage space. Overall a GREAT buy! In fact I'm going to order another one for the waiting room of my husband's optometry practice right now. 06/05/2009

I looked at other furnature stores and found that the best product for the best deal was at Wal-mart and it shipped to the store for free. It arrived early and was exactly as I was expecting. The only assembly is putting the legs on which was very easy. When company comes over they always comment about how nice it looks. I would recommend this product to anyone. 07/03/2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best table/storage for our son! I purchased one of these initially to replace my wood coffee table with sharp corners, and add storage to my living room. We love it! Our son plays in it, all his toys fit, and I don't have to worry so much about boo boo's on a wood or glass table. We love it so much we just purchased two more! One for our son's room for MORE toys, and another for our bedroom- for the edge of the bed. Can't beat the value. Best Value anywhere, I shopped all over the internet and in stores. Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the ottoman Very sturdy, and looks like real leather, I used it with out the legs, but I still have them if I want to put them on, or I may even go buy me some shorter ones to use, but it looks nice with no legs. It is made really neat, the lid stays up when you put it up. It it stable enough to use if you would want to put your food tray on it while you eat. I am very pleased with my brown ottoman. 12/08/2009

Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect For My Living Room I bought this ottoman to use as a coffee table and a toy box for my 10 month old. It works great!!! It's perfect to plop your feet on or leave open for my little one to grab his toys. By manually locking the hinges when open, I don't have to worry about tiny fingers getting pinched. The ottoman is reasonably deep so if you choose to not use it as a toy box, blankets/photo albums/whatever will fit great inside the unit. 08/17/2010

I spent much time shopping around for an ottoman and came across many small or undurable ottomans for well over $100. This product and price cannot be beat! Although I was uneasy about purchasing one over the internet, I trusted the other good reviews and it paid off. I also have a young daughter and it is perfect for hiding all her toys when we have company! Cannot brag enough about this ottoman! 03/30/2011

You simply cannot beat the price. Looks great in my living room as extra seating and I love the extra storage. I'm always looking for storage solutions and we have DVDs tucked away in this ottoman. Even though it is not real leather it matches our brown leather sofa beautifully. It is very sturdy. I store blankets in it for use on chilly days. 08/23/2011

Rated 1 out of 5 by would have been nice if not defective Before I bought this I read many of the reviews and noticed that quite a few people mentioned that they had recieved there ottoman and it was damaged. I actually felt fortunate when I recieved the box and it was in good condition (no shipping damage noticed). It wasn't until we lugged it home (it is heavy) and opened the box that we found out that it was poorly manufactured. The hinge on one side was not screwed in and it did not align when the top was shut. Therefore, it did not open or close properly. As far as I am concerned, this is more dissapointing because someone let it leave the factory with this defect. I will send it back and not re-purchase because I do not think it is good quality. I hope this helps anyone looking to purchase this product. It would have been a great item if it was properly manufactured. 02/21/2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wow! Great Ottoman! I was a little apprehensive about buying this ottoman without looking at it, but no worries! This product looks like leather and has ample storage. I have this in my bedroom to hide those clothes that I didn't get a chance to put away, and it looks great! Before I mad my purchase, I researched prices and this is definitely a bargain for less than $100.00. If you're thinking about it purchasing, get it before it sells out like it did before! 12/19/2009

Rated 1 out of 5 by Broken I bought this product even though numerous people said they received theirs broken....the box mine was shipped to the store in was in HORRIBLE shape when they brought it out, the lady opened it for me to see if there was any damage to it (i didn't think to check the lid, the one hinge was ripped out and the wood was split, they really need to be more careful when handling people stuff! 11/05/2010

Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Quality and Bad Hardware We purchased this item at our local Wal-Mart. It lasted one week. The hardware on one side just stopped working and would not lift up or go down properly. When trying to force it to lift up it actually ripped the screws out of the wood that holds the hinge in place. I was not totally disappointed because at least I had a valid reason to return it. The top is so flimsy that it looked like my 4 year old would go through it just sitting on it. The only thing I can say positive about this item is that it looked good in our living room. Definitely replacing it with a much higher quality item. 12/13/2009
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sent back I was really excited to purchase this ottoman after the rave reviews, but did not live up to the expectations at all. We never even took it out of the box, we realized the hinges were broken and not secured. Even if this did come in working order I couldn't imagine it would last very long, it was cheaply made. Now I have to haul it to the post office to send it back, having two kids and being pregnant, and the fact that it won't fit into our car is all kinda frustrating. I would not recommend this product. I ended up paying twice as much for a high quality ottoman at a home decorating store locally. 09/16/2010

It looks like real leather and the storage room is spacious. I used a little amor all and it looks fantastic. You can't beat the price for this product! 09/09/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great looking and lots of storage We bought this to replace our coffee table. We wanted something that had storage space and also matched our furniture. The first item was shipped site to store after getting it home and unpacked there was a rip on the cover and one of the legs was missing a stopper. I promptly emailed Walmart.com and they called me back within a day (I was kind of annoyed that I couldn't find their number on the website to call rather than email but was happy they called me back). They promptly shipped a replacement ottoman expedited at no charge and provided a prepaid shipping label to return the damaged item. We did have to drop it off at the post office but better than taking it back to the store. The second item was perfect. It stores our infant daughters toys and has soft edges so we aren't worried about her hitting her head. It also matched our sectional couch perfectly and was at a great price (as we didn't want to break the bank). Overall we are very happy with our purchase. I'm also glad that walmart.com customer service was a good experience (as sometimes the store isn't so great). 07/30/2012

I have a 3 year old and I hide all of his toys in there. Now they are no longer all over my living room. It has also add more places to sit. I could not happier with this purchase. Rated 5 out of 5 by Glad I bought it. I love this ottoman. All we had to do was screw on the legs and it was ready to go. There is a ton of storage room. The only draw backs are you can't sit on it or the top would cave in. Max weight is 50 lbs. and no support for anything heavy. 07/07/2012
