I was looking for an inexpensive but sturdy 3 wheel scooter for my 4 year old son. We live on a dirt road with a dirt driveway. My son is able to move this scooter around on the dirt since the wheels are rubbery instead of hard plastic and they are large enough to tolerate the grit and rocks. of course it works much better on the wood deck, but he can use it on the dirt as well.
Rated 1 out of 5 by dewgs not a good option for a scooter for a 3 year old
i did some research on scooters for my 3 year old. she had been borrowing the other kids mini-kick scooters in the neighborhood. i discovered the mini-kick was $83!!! surely i could get a cheaper option, right? razor seems to be a well known and popular brand for adults. i assumed they made a good kid model too. WRONG! here is why it DOES NOT work. one wheel in the front makes it very hard for a toddler to control. two wheels in the back is too wide. her inner ankle keeps hitting the bolt heads that stick out of each of the outer back wheels. it's so poorly constructed for a toddler i wonder if anyone at razor actually tested this on a toddler. i don't usually go on the internet and write reviews, but i really feel strongly that i should save other parents from making the same mistake of purchasing this.

Bought two of these for my two Grandsons, who are both 3 years old. The scooter board, which the kids put their feet on, is barely wide enough for the "balance" that this "beginning" scooter claims to have. The spot welds in the handle bars left slag inside where the steering column goes - could not install until I removed - took four hours to sand out by hand. Should have returned!
Otherwise it is a fairly nice scooter for an older toddler . . . would recommend prospective buyers see both the "Huffy" and "Razor" brands before buying to weigh both the pros and cons . . .
Rated 3 out of 5 by snowglo Weight limit to light. Had to return due to 3 year old will soon outweigh limit allowed. Base fairly narrow. Bought the Buz Lightyear with a weight limit of 65 pounds and a wider base.
Rated 5 out of 5 by gin123180 Sturdy, Smooth, Good Value
We got our 4 and 2 year old these scooters. They are very well made. The assembly was simple enough and it came with the tools needed to assemble the scooter. That was a nice bonus. They roll very smoothly and balance well with the 3 wheels. We debated on a tricycle or this for our 2 year old and I'm glad we went with the scooter. It was cheaper than the tricycle's we saw at Walmart too!
Rated 5 out of 5 by nandinidoll It's pretty good and sturdy for price. My son is 2&1/2 and could easily manage it. He can pick it up and put it on the side. Not heavy, wheels r good .

Rated 1 out of 5 by jcable6288 Hurts my child to ride
I purchased a pink Lil' Kick Scooter as a birthday present for my 3 year old daughter. She loved the scooter, until she rode it. The rear axle bolt assembly is too long and sticks out too must past the rear wheels so she scrapes her ankle on the bolt when she kicks to ride. Very disappointed with this Razor product.
Rated 3 out of 5 by SEshopper Missing parts
When my grandson opened the box, he's so excited. But very quickly, we found that the handle bar was missing. Most likely, this was a box that had been opened and returned by someone but not all parts were put back. I had to order online again to get another one from a different site and return this one to Walmart later.
Rated 3 out of 5 by RosebudzMom purely introductoryThe plateform is short/small
My four year old received this as a birthday gift. Although it is sturdy and light-weight, I regret buying it because the platform is too small/short for her to put both feet on it. Because the platform is so short she never rides/coasts, which is not the scootering experience. I wish I had not bought online but rather gone to the store and looked at it. One look and I would have known it was not for her. Also, consider buying a folding scooter. This one is small enough to put in the car effortlessly, but for just a few dollars more I could have had the longer platform and space saving folding scooter.

This scooter is for 3+ but I bought it for my son for his 2nd birthday and he loves it. He knows how to keep one foot on and push off with the other. I think this product is really helping with his coordination. Great gift. Easy to assemble.
Rated 3 out of 5 by LLCCCPreschool You get what you pay for
Purchased 6 scooters for my Preschool, it was pretty easy assembly once I got past the first one. I have to say it was hard coordinating the tools and swiveling parts. I appreciated how the factory tried to organize the parts for the assembly but it made it more work and extra tools form my tool box to unscrew the ends of a specific part. After two weeks of continues use by rough preschoolers, back wheels were already falling off. I recommend this product for one child with an occasion use. this product was very inexpensive, I got what I paid for.

great product to learn a scooter. I bought it cause my daughters physical therapist recommended to build strength on her legs by pushing it with one leg and switching. And i have seen a big difference.

Bought for my 4 year old and it is a great fit! She can handle it well. Easy to put together, tools provided. Only complaint: the bolts that hold the back wheels on sticks out further than I would like, as my child pushed off sometimes her ankle hits these bolts.
Rated 1 out of 5 by bridgeman There was a defective part!
I bought this on June 29. Contacted Razor since there was a defective clamp. Sent them a fax on July1. They claimed they never received it. Sent another one on July 11. Again they claimed they didn't receive it. Had to call a manager who gave me an email address. Had to email her with my scanned receipt. This is the 3rd Lil Razor since the first one I returned due to other parts missing. It's not worth buying. Save your money.

I bought this scooter for my 3 y.o son and he likes it a lot, more than his bike!
Rated 5 out of 5 by robyn12 My just turned 3 year old loves this scooter. It's great for a starter scooter and very sturdy. There are some other ones out there but they were off brands and didn't feel as secure.
The only complaint is they raised the price since I bought it last month and I think they raised it too much for as many scooters that are offered now.

This is a great first scooter... the double back wheels lend more stability as your little one develops their sense of balance.
Rated 5 out of 5 by ebayfanatic99 I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter for Christmas and she plays with it alot, even though she hasn't been able to take it outside yet. Easy for young ones wanting to ride a scooter, but not quite balanced enough for a big scooter.
Rated 4 out of 5 by MilitaryWifeAndMomma 2 1/2 year-old loves it!
My daughter loves scooting down the sidewalk around the neighborhood on her new scooter. It stands up on its own, so it is easier for the little ones to balance. All in all, a great buy. It took my husband and I about 15 minutes to put it together.
Rated 5 out of 5 by momma73 Great Product
"Santa" was a little stretched this Christmas so this is the only toy that appeared under the tree... luckily my 3 year old thought it was the coolest thing in the world! Mom even got a thank-you for putting it together :)
Perfect for a little fella~ he got right on & rides around the house like a pro on his new "board".
Rated 4 out of 5 by mom192837467 Good scooter
I got this scooter for my 2 year old and an razor A for my 4 year old. The 4 year old does great with the 2 wheel scooter. The 2 year old has not figured out the scooter yet, but the 3 wheel scooter is more stable and the wheels are tighter. I think that it will be great for her to begin with, but if you are looking for a 3 or 4 year old, I would go with a 2 wheel scooter. It takes assembly but there are all the tools you need included. It does not fold like the other scooters.

cute gift for the grandson-but missing parts and no instructions made part of the day a little sad for the 3 yr old.
Rated 5 out of 5 by McGuyverMom Awesome Buy
I bought this for my 4 year old who wanted the regular 2-wheeled scooter or a skateboard. As he has never used anything like that, I chose this one for the added stability provided with the extra wheel on the back. It has proven to be the best purchase I could have made. It is very inexpensive compared to the other models, and is well worth the money to provide him with what I call his learning scooter!!
Rated 5 out of 5 by nc1943 Gift was a Hit
Purchased this for my great granddaughter and she loved it. I ordered it in the blue as that is her favorite color. It was a hit and so was I. Thanks
Rated 5 out of 5 by Shermanoakie The most wonderful little scooter!
My 2.5 year old son has the best time flying along on this scooter. The price was right too. Meets all our expectations.
Rated 5 out of 5 by GandBMom Awesome!
We bought this for our 3 y/o son's birthday. Big brother has a regular razor scooter and he was so excited to get one almost just like it! It was easy to ride, easy to turn and he loved it from the moment he got it! I would definitely recomment this scooter for little ones looking for a thrill.
Rated 3 out of 5 by bruno615 Ok for awhile
It's small and on one of the units the screw/bolt for the back wheels were not manufactured correctly so I have to find screws/bolts to fit to keep the wheel on. The two 7yr olds I bought them for will probably outgrow them soon...nice for awhile.

my newly 3 yo loves this! very sturdy - he can scoot and steer and does great on it.
Rated 4 out of 5 by LHfromNH Happy with the product & service
I bought this scooter for my 4-year-old grandson. It came pretty quickly, as promised, and was pretty simple for his dad to assemble in just a few minutes... And my grandson LOVES it! It's the right size for him and is great for indoor use, as well, because of the softer wheels.
