    After one year of casual use of my Imperator 2012, the rear thumb button failed and started double-clicking with a single press. I had previously owned a Copperhead, and the left mouse button began double-clicking after about five years of use. As I had been using it heavily for FPS games, I wasn't surprised. In fact I was actually impressed that it held up that long. It gave me the confidence to stick with Razer for my next purchase. Obviously my faith was misplaced. Since it was still under warranty, I contacted Razer support via email. I was asked for my mailing address, which is a PO box (there's no mail delivery in my town), but they refused to deliver to a PO box. I provided my physical address and stated that if they could ship with Fedex or UPS that the physical address would work, but I can't receive USPS to that address. Their response was to ask if I could provide a mailing address of a friend or family member that could then ship it to my address. I gave them a family member's address, the RMA was approved, and I received an email offering the option to take a picture of my mouse with a severed cord or to mail the mouse to them at my expense. They want me to be without my computer mouse for the duration of time it takes to ship the old one back, for my family to receive the new one, and for the new mouse to make it from their home to my PO box. I inquired if there was any other way to handle the problem and was asked for my address again. Foolishly thinking I had reached someone who would be helpful, I replied with my PO box address again and received the same response. Apparently they aren't tracking the previous conversation, because they had just completely looped around to the beginning again! Keep in mind that for every response I've sent up to this point, it takes until the following day to receive an automated response stating that a specialist will be in touch and an additional day to get a response from an actual person. At this point it has been over two weeks of emailing back and forth, so I requested a phone number. After two days, I receive the phone number to call. The man I reached says he understands my problem but can't assist me with my concern over the out-of-pocket return shipping cost or approve sending a new unit without first receiving the defective one. I ask to be transferred to the department that can approve these actions, but it's not at the same location, and he has no phone number to reach them. I ask to speak to a supervisor, but he is on another line and can offer no help. At this point I'm waiting in limbo in the hope that the message will reach someone who actually believes in customer service and backing the products they're producing. I strongly suggest that if anyone is looking to purchase a Razer product, they should reconsider and go with a company that can ideally produce a working product to begin with or would be willing to stand behind their product and promptly fix any issues that arise instead of acting inconvenienced by customers paying premium prices for a product.
