Rave 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Stripe 4.4 5 118 134
Great buy for the money I am one not to just buy the first thing I see, I am a very careful shopper and when it comes to dinnerware there is tons to choose from. All I wanted was everyday dinnerware that was dependable, good looking, rather inexpensive and wouldn't break or chip within a week or two of purchasing.I must have looked in every big store within a 20 mile radius of my home, both in the store and online, compared price and quality. I looked for months, taking my time and comparing. I found these at WalMart.I liked, first of all, the price. Then the clean neutral look of the design. The weight was another factor too and that they were dishwasher safe and microwavable. They looked like a much pricer set then what they cost. My husband liked them immediately. I wasn't sure about the mugs (everything these days comes with such big mugs) or the very deep bowls, but we went ahead and purchased them.I could only get one set at the store we were at, finally after several calls, and the very friendly help of one of the associates there at the other store, located one last set for a completion of 8 place settings. They must be very popular to have to look that hard for them. :-)We have had them about two weeks now and so far have been very happy with such a good purchase. The bowls I have grown to like, cereal no longer creeps or slides out of the bowl. And the mugs, although looking big, hold 8 oz of coffee, just the right size. Not to big where the coffee gets cold in.I will be going back to buy two more place settings just incase we have breakage later on.Although they say they are not available in the store, only online, they are wrong..so unfortunately site to site shipping isn't available. But we did find the amount of dishes we needed at local stores and saved on $12 shipping costs.I was also afraid of breakage in the unopened boxes but none was found..hurrah!!Good choice as far as I'll concerned! Slightly dissappointed I just fell in love with the rich brown and red color of these dishes on line and when I got them home and out of the box they were more like brown, orange and green. They are very nice on their own but not really what I was expecting. Other than that they are wonderful dishes. The bowls are nice and deep and the plates are large. 03/22/2008
very unhappy I got an 8 piece setting of this product for Christmas, within the first week whil washing them I got a chip in one of the plates. Thanking it was just a flaw in the plate I bought another one. Since then not one of my pieces go without some kind of chip,one of my bowls has chip clear down the side. I love the pattern but quality is horrible. I am going back to Corelle. 03/30/2009
RAVE I searched online for days trying to find that perfect dinnerware set then I found this one. I received it as a christmas gift per my wish list. They look just like they did online but even better. They are just beauitful! I love the deep bowls as well! I would recommend this product because I am very pleased! 12/27/2007
