I was definitely hoping that she would like this a little more. Especially, because I bought this for her first birthday. Hopefully, she will grow to like it. I personally thought it would be a great toy. 10/05/2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by northwoodsgrandpa Some assembly required is right. We bought the Radio Flyer Soft Rock & Bounce pony for our grandson. He is large for his age (10 months) but he fit on the pony just fine and was able to touch the floor with his tip-toes. At that early age, adult supervision is necessary, but the horse seems quite stable and does not bounce wildly. We put his feet on the foot rests and he was able to rock the pony as well.It is a good thing the motion activated sounds have an "off" switch as they are very sensitive. The two position volume is also handy. For younger kids, it is a good thing the cover comes off since it will have to be cleaned periodically. Now, about that assembly. The directions are largely diagrams but if you follow the steps, you should have no problems. The first step is to make sure all the parts are there. We were missing some parts but Radio Flyer was able to get them to us by Christmas, a great help. I wouldn't rate the assembly as simple. I had to work at getting the screws that hold the body together to start. Then you must be careful not to strip them out since the body screws only go into the plastic of the body. The rest of the screws go into threaded metal inserts so they are sturdy. I did have to remove some plastic from a few of the metal inserts before I could start the screws so I would advise starting a screw in each location before final assembly. That way, if you have a problem, you can deal with the component rather than the whole thing. In hindsight, that would have been a good thing to do with the body as well. The instructions specifically show a power screwdriver covered by a slashed circle. After my experience, I would not use a power tool on this unit, you really don't need to anyway. Overall, I would rate the assembly as typical and again stress following the instruction sheet. 12/29/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by KYGramma Nice product My 20 month old grandson loved it. He could climb on and off by himself and took almost no coaching to teach how to use it. He loved the sounds and would imitate them as he rode. Nice size for this age group. Assembly was relatively easy (Grandma did it), requiring just a Phillips head screwdriver. 12/27/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by DarceyO The best little rocking horse I fell in love with this rocking/bouncy horse seeing it online. Checked customer reviews and other horses I found in stores. Could not find anything I liked better in stores so ordered it through Walmart. I have not been this excited for Christmas in a very long time! This item is adorable, easy to put together and my 13 month old grandson LOVED it! 12/25/2011
