Disappointed. The whole reason I got this remote was for my DVD player. The remote is the same brand as the DVD player, so I was sure it would be fine. But it wouldn't work. Weird that both are the same brand, yet they don't work together. I tried every code repeatedly for a few hours, following the directions to the letter, but it just wouldn't work. It's a DVD player/ surround sound stereo type of combo, so maybe that's why the remote wouldn't work with it. None of the included codes were for stereos. Only standard DVD players. But the fact that the DVD player and the remote are both the same brand, and the remote STILL wouldn't work with it...that's ridiculous. How good can a remote be if it won't even work with it's own company's products?Just to test out the remote, I set it up for my cable box and the TV. It worked fine with the cable, and pretty decent with the TV. But it lacked a few of the buttons I'd need for the TV. So the remote earned at least three stars for that.Weird that the rating's field of this review had categories for "Picture quality" and "sound quality". How do I rate categories that don't apply to a remote?Overall, I'm sure the universal remote works good with most products, but I can't exactly give it a good rating when it won't work with a basic device like a DVD player that's the same brand. So it's pretty useless to me now. 12/14/2011
Great Universal Remote I have a Digital Logistics flat-screen TV. Its remote died and I was unable to get a response from the company itself to purchase a new one. I actually did not believe that the RCA remote I purchased from you would work, but it did and, much to my surprise, it was so easy to synchronize with my unknown-brand TV!! What a pleasure.
