Quilling or paper filigree is the art of creating designs with narrow strips of paper that have been rolled shaped and arranged. Easy to learn, nearly all quilling is done with just a few variations of basic rolls and scrolls. Papers are acid free and safe for scrapbook pages. The starter kit features detailed basic instructions in rolling paper and shaping the rolls and scrolls plus other special techniques that add interest and variety to quilling.
Kit includes quilling paper in 3 widths, metallic quill trim, needle, slotted quilling tool, cork workboard, glue, ruler, quilling chart, and material for gift tags, card and gift bags, plus patterns and instructions for 15 designs. Other supplies needed are straight pins and scissors (not included). Kit measures: 12.50Hx9.25Wx1.5D. Made in USA.

Disappointing Starter Kit The supplies provided in the kit were good, but the instructions were very bad. Rather than an easy to follow booklet of some sort, the instructions were just some loose photo-copied pages that children especially would not be able to follow. 10/28/2009
Thrilling at my Quilling I have always wanted to try Quilling but was unsure of all it took. I was sure I couldn't roll my paper that tiny. But this comes with 2 tools that make it real easy! And your practice rolls are glued to a paper to remind you how they look in 3D.I even use them now to even embelish my other cards. This kit was and is well worth the price.Hope you enjoy yours as I do mine. 01/11/2011
