Rated 3 out of 5★ by ElitistNot Does the job for cheap but will not satisfy all The Quartet cork pin board is 2 feet wide by 3 feet long by 3/4 inch thick. The frame is made from plastic and is not seamless. As with most cheap plastic frames the corners have gaps. The board is formed from a thin layer of cork (or cork like material) glued to a cardboard backing. There is not solid backing (no MDF, no particle board, no wood, nothing else). The board is approximately 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch thick and centered in the frame, which means the back of the board does not touch the wall, but sits off the wall by approximately 1/4 inch. The board is very easy to hang with the included hardware. However, the board will like not sit flush to the wall as the included hardware is two top brackets that slip between the cardboard backing and the plastic frame. The bottom of the board has no fasteners and tends to bow outward away from the wall.Installation requires drilling two holes into the wall, inserting plastic anchors and attaching each bracket with a single metal screw into each anchor, then sliding the board onto the brackets. This product is made in China (no surprise there). It is possible to push pins through the board into the wall if not careful. So, for people wanting a more solid board that protects the wall, this is not your product, especially if you have children who will use the board. The boards are not durable in the sense that they will not stand up to abuse (tugging, pulling, etc). The boards are about as cheap as you can get and do what they are meant to do but nothing else. They are not attractive in a decorative sense, and do not sit flush to the wall and do not protect the wall. This product is for those who want a really inexpensive and cheap board. If you want a board with more meat to it (like a solid backing, better mounting, more durable, better frame, etc) then this is not the board for you. If you want a cheap solution then this is the board for you.I use the board to post materials for exams, etc. I would not trust this board to post anything heavy... paper is fine, anything heavy... not sure and I would be suspicious. In this world you get what you pay for and this is an $8.48 board (at the time of writing this review). 10/06/2011
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Wraiththe Nice price, but set up to fail - otherwise: Nice. HI. I really liked the price of this bulliten board. It seems OK, it looks good (I have the graphite frame) and it will serve it's purpose. You simply cannot beat the price! However... KNOW THIS: the hardware to hang the board will probably fail if you drill 1/4" holes and this will make life tough as you try to find something else to use and wind up pulling it back out. The hanger itself is good, but the screw and inset/anchor are terrible. Get something else to use of better quality that you know will work... or at least do not drill a 1/4" hole. (a smaller one will make it hard to get the anchor in.) Seriously... get better hardware or you will wind up just making the holes bigger. I am pretty upset about this... but it is my own fault for giving it a chance when I knew it would not work correctly. You may be able to make it work, but the screws are really tight in these insets and most likely they will just spin together and never open correctly to pull the screw in.Once again, the value is great, very inexpensive, but the insert/anchors and instructions are terrible. As long as you know this and can use your own hardware I would give it a 5. 04/16/2012
Rated 3 out of 5★ by GeekWannaBe Fair value for the money Not very sturdily made, and the cork board is very thin. If you don't plan on putting items and taking them off frequently, and putting it to a lot of use, you can't beat the value. 11/20/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 Good Quality, great value I priced similar corkboards everywhere, department stoes, office supply stores, bed/bath stores, etc.. All were much more expensive. This corkboard is definitely a great value. Comes with hanging hardware. 11/17/2011
Rated 4 out of 5★ by Ameljoog Some pieces of cork fell out but for $10 you can't beat it. I painted the boards so you can barely tell. 09/09/2013
Rated 3 out of 5★ by CCKA does the job I found this cork board to be quite thin. It does the job for now, but who knows how many years it will last. 11/25/2012
