I had my golden on high end dog food because I thought it would be better for her, but after the study came out that that type of dog food wasn't necessarily good, especially for goldens, I switched back to the tried and true purina dog chow. My previous 2 dogs ate this brand, and they both lived to be 12 yrs old.

Cheaper and my dog loves it

We have beagles and have fed them purina dog chow there whole life and all our beagles live to an old age our oldest was 18 years old before she passed away

My dog loves this but it is so hard to open. What happened to those strips for easy opening?

This review is for the 50 lb Purina Dog Chow.  The food is fine for my dogs.  It is the way they deliver it.  Every other time I get a bag it is ripped.  It doesn't come in a box.  This last one was taped about half way down the bag and the bag was ripped all the way across. So I lost about a fourth of the bag of the food.  I am going to have to go somewhere else to buy this food.  The Wal-Mart is 45 minutes away. That is why I order online.

Need a better way to deliver

I live up in the mountains if I want to go anywhere I have to go on foot I was very excited when you guys ship stuff out to me especially dog food that made me really happy now I cannot get any dog food from you guys anymore because you don't ship so now I am very upset I wish you change your mind and decide to ship dog food again

Order a month before you need it.  Why dog food comes all the way from New York to Montana I don't understand.  When it finally does arrive I usually have to pick it up at the post office, USPS only wants to deliver letters.

Poor delivery service.  Always late!

My dog, Baxter, who I've had for over seven years has always ate the puppy chow, and then dog chow. Over the last few months, I've noticed his stool has been loose and almost like diarrhea. I switched him to a different brand and it cleared up after going to the vet when he got real sick. After finishing up the other brand of dog food and switched back to the dog chow his stool became loose and discolored again.. My other dog, gator, has the same issue. In the same timeframe they have been eating more grass, slightly  lethargic and scratching more..  When I switched them to the other brand recommended by my vet, they were not eating grass. It seems as if the dog chow has taken a down turn on quality. Unfortunately, I think I will be switching brands.

Formula change? Lack of quality?

What gives?  Product is fine have fed it decades to our working dogs but now they decide NO more DELIVERY??  With all the money this company makes and with the size of our orders to the ranch especially during this Covid now they want us to come pick it up?  They offer free delivery on heavier items .....
