Great for my arthritic dog and puppy

I ordered two of these, one for my couch and one for the bedroom. They are the perfect height, and the stairs are spaced perfectly for my dog that has arthritis. They took to it quickly with a couple of treats as incentive, and now I don't have to pick them up every time they want on the couch or bed. They are made of sturdy material and have carpet on the steps, so they don't look cheap or tacky. I definatly recommend these for small or arthritic animals.

I bought these stairs for my family’s 12 year old dog. My parents recently upgraded me from a short twin bed to a much taller full size bed. Unfortunately our dog couldn’t get up on my bed, so I bought these. I couldn’t afford anything really expensive, so after reading the reviews I went with these. When I got it, it was fully put together the only thing I had to do was stick on the carpet “stickers” (It’s carpet pieces with a sticky back that you put on each stair) At first our dog didn’t like them at all! He was very nervous of them. After a few weeks and some bribing with Vienna sausages and some other treats he comes up with no trouble as long as you have a small treat for him and sometimes with no treat. When training your pet to use the stairs be patient! Hope this review was helpful!!!!  :D

Excellent value for price. My little dachshund love being able to get on bed w/o help. We like portability.

    • My guess would be no. I think after daily use, it would end up breaking at the hinges.

    • No, this is designed for small pets and would not hold up for that much weight. I wouldn't recommend using it for a pet not more than 15 lbs.

    • no it is made for small to med dogs maybe up to 45 to 50lbs

    • Yes! I wanted to make sure they were safe for my dog, so I walked up the stairs. I'm 160 pounds so they would definitely support a 70 pound dog easily

    • I would think that is too much weight. My toy poodle is 6 pounds.

    • It might, but I wouldn't risk it. That's a pretty sizable dog for these stairs. I'm not sure the support would hold that kind of weight. Although I love this product for my cats I think I would recommend some stairs that are sturdier for your 70 pounder.
