Rated 4 out of 5 by EngineeredValue It works as it should. I bought this to replace a GE Dual Burner Hot Plate that I also bought at WM that would not even boil water. While this burner/coil is on the small size it actually will boil water and cook food! If cooking for a long time (an hour or more) turn the power to high and then back off when your food starts to cook.While not quite as powerful as a range burner I recommend as it does the job ... at a Walmart price! 08/08/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by ratherremainanonymous The PROCTOR, single burner (so far) works great!!! -- only had it for a month.Its appearance is rudimentary, not fancy or stylish, but serves its purpose - COOKING.BOILS WATER on a higher setting with ease -- center pan on burner.I'm a amateur chef and enjoy very much having this miniature cooker at my disposal until my range is delivered. It has a coil that heats up quicky turning fire red, as well as a drip pan for easy cleanup. Reminiscent of a real stove, only smaller. Read instructions carefully (not much to read), just set up ang go......One last thing: Burner has a 3 pronged plug, supposed to make Unit a little safer. 08/29/2011

Rated 4 out of 5 by sickofpolitics Good value, good price, slow arrival. Pros: Has worked well for the 3 times I've used it. Approximately 6 hours as a heat source for a pressure cooker. I hope to get many more hours of use from it.Cons: Wayfair, Walmart's on-line supplier took a looong time to ship this item. I thought that the covered wagon express ship method was dead. 08/07/2012
