    • A. The unit does not fold up but is easy to move to different location on the same floor. It is a solid machine that requires at least a 4' X 6' area for the machine. This takes into account that a little room is needed to mount and dismount.

    • A. No. It has a fairly large footprint and does not fold up once assembled. You would need to dedicate a space at least six feet by 3 feet to accomodate it at all times.

    • A. It doesn't "store away", but if you can roll it to a less used space, it rolls fairly easily. I am an average sized woman, and can maneuver it around by myself.

    • A. It does not fold down or condense in any way. There are "wheels" on the bottom/front of the unit and a handle to easily lift at the bottom rear - so it can be wheeled to a different location.

    • A. There are two sets of handles. The higher vertical handles do move in conjunction with the steps. The second pair of handles, located a little lower and in-between the moving handes, are fixed and encompass the heart rate sensing monitors. The user places their hands on the monitors and, within a few seconds, will see their heart rate on the control unit screen.

    • A. Electricity...only needed for power features like the fan, pre-programmed workouts, and power resistance setting. The pedals move whether or not it is plugged in, but you won't get resistance increases without power. The electricity also controls the heartrate monitor and speakers for mp3 player.

    Great Elliptical for Home Use
    1/24/2012

    Customer review by AZRedRose

This elliptical is pretty solid and quiet. I can hear the TV without turning up the volume. I took a chance and ordered it online without having seen or tested one, so I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Just a heads up it is very heavy and it will take two people (at least one mechanically saavy) to assemble some of it. We took the pieces out of the box and carried them upstairs individually before assembly. Not sure how we could have gotten it upstairs fully assembled. The weight-loss routines are sufficiently tough. The features are great. The only drawback is that the connection to the iPod is just a MP3 line in and there is no place to really perch your iPod so I don't use it. I should also mention that when we first unboxed the elliptical, the display was crushed. We called the manufacturer's 1800 number and they shipped out a new one right away, no questions asked. So while it delayed our use a almost a week, I was completely satisified with how the manufacturer handled the situation and made it right.

I purchased this elliptical because of the discounted price, as well as the 300lb capacity. I am a 300lb girl and I put it together all by myself. Yes 1 person (it took me 2.5 hours but I took a few small breaks) Some reviews say it wobbles and creaks... I can assure you mine does neither. It comes with a leveling back end so it won't do that. Also it's very quiet. I tightened my screws well and I have no complaints about the noise. It is very quiet. It is a nice color, the ifit technology is great, ipod plug in port, the speakers are nicer (in my opinion) than the ones at the gyms. The plastic parts worried me at first, because I assumed they would break. But they are holding up very well. My only complaint is that you have to grease a few parts so if you're worried about being messy, I would put a towel down during those times. Also, I wish it had a guide that could tell you about only the machine. The instructions tell you what to do, but I'd rather have a booklet to keep handy vs the papers. So far so good though with everything else!

    Smooth and Easy Ride

I used to workout at a gym daily...running 5 miles on the elliptical each day! I desired a nice and smooth riding elliptical for my home...not jerky motions like some of my friends have in their ellipticals. This elliptical has been GREAT! I love my workout on it...the speakers, fan, built-in workouts...it is all great! The only thing I don't like about it would be that I have to physical change the incline to the level I want. At least it is easy to change by simply getting off of it and pushing a button with my thumb...lifting/sliding the incline track up or down to the level I want...and then release the button to lock it into place. Putting it together was fairly easy with the great detailed instructions and nicely labelled parts.

Considering my favorite machines are Precor and over $5000, this elliptical is sufficient for home use for the $575 I paid. It is a bit wobbly until you focus on using your core for balance and to hold a steady pace. Downfall is that it does not show distance in miles or kilometers (not sure what the display means for distance). Calories seem fairly accurate compared to BodyBug and professional equipment for my height and weight. I'm sure once my weight is down another 20 pounds this machine will more than live up to its expectations and appear more durable.

It is an average to slightly above average product. Please note that it takes 2 people about 2.5 hrs to assemble the product without rushing the job. The product description said it has an IPod dock, but it doesn't, just an MP3 plug-in. The machine wabbles and creeks while in use, but it is stable. The peddles go more in a circle than an elliptical motion. All that said, it works as it is suppose to.
