A must have item for baby I purchased this item as a gift. Having had a heartbeat bear for my babies when they were born, I feel this is a perfect gift for any new Mom to be. I would also like to add that the one I used 30 years ago, my first born daughter uses now for her baby. They work great! I marked everyday use, cause that is what I did years ago. 02/07/2010
Simply Adorable! This Prince Lionheart Bear is absolutely the most adorable little bear clutching his blankie with sleepy half-closed eyes! Having been so cute when I opened him, he endeared himself to me immediately. So much so that when I found the heartbeat/music mechanism was defective I still wanted to keep him!! I called the company and they instructed me on how to file a warranty claim, so hopefully I'll be getting a new mechanism soon. This is the reason I rated Durability and Meets Expectations catagories lower.I was also expecting the bear to be larger for the price, but he's the perfect size for baby to cuddle. The blanket he holds is a brushed fabric on one side and satin on the other making it a good piece for satisfying a baby's tactile senses.In a nut shell, if you want a cute bear that can soothe your baby to sleep (with a properly functioning heartbeat mechansim) and you don't mind the price, get it. I can't say this bear is a great value, though, because of the price. But, he really is adorable! 08/16/2010
