It is non stick you may use little or no oil. Suggest not to use a lard because it may smoke on high heat. Margarine is good. It is suggested not to use Pam spray on this griddle.

Yes, this griddle (without the Control Master heat control) is dishwasher safe. Please note though that if you choose to wash the griddle in a dishwasher, the bottom of the griddle will likely discolor due to the caustic nature of the dishwashing detergent.

No. The end with the prongs for the heat control must always be kept dry. I can't imagine hwy the instructions say you can put it in the dishwasher. anyway, it cleans right up-the stuff that's stuck comes off easily with a piece of wet paper towel.

I fix pancakes for my wife and I mostly on the weekends I used to have to make them one at a time in a frying pan now I can make six at one time and sit with my wife and enjoy our pancakes together at the same time griddle heats up fast and cleans up real easy.

My concerns purchasing a new griddle centered around even cooking. I've used this griddle several times...pancakes, hash browns, carmelized onions, and sliders. The surface is amazingly non-stick and it heats quickly and evenly. I found it cook food well and at the same rate no matter where it was on the griddle. It may be a little hotter than you'd expect...I found I set the thermostat to a lower temp than what I would normally choose for a given food product...but once I got used to that, no worries. Def a good value and good product. The one negative is the handles stick up pretty high so it doesn't stow away in a tight space as my old griddle did. You also have to do some minor assembly attaching the handles to the griddle.

This griddle works!

I really like this griddle. I have found it is easy to use and it is really fast in cooking and it meets my need to cook fast and it is easy to clean and use again.

It's a little slow to heat up evenly, but I would say that is because it is so much bigger then a regular griddle. But when it does get hot you can turn out some mean pancakes,eggs, sausage or whatever you need to cook for several people. And it doesn't take a lot of time to do it in. You can cook for 6 in the time it would take you to cook for 2 or 3 with a regular griddle.

I bought this for a large family get together we were having, but truth be known I've been wanting one for a while. I was able to cook at least a package of bacon at one time. I only used it two mornings, just on the bacon, so can't really say about any thing else, but I played around with the heat and it was great - even temps through out. I love my new griddle and I'm sorry I waited to use my family reunion as an excuse to get one. I bet it works great on my grandson's pancakes! I'm not sure where I'll store it as it's quite large, but I'll find a place some where I hope....

This griddle is fantastic!! I was making french toast for my kids and was able to put 10 pieces pm the griddle at one time, makes meal prep quick and easy!! Saves alot of time, I highly recommend it

I have had this griddle for 1 week and has used it twice. With a family size of 8 this size griddle is great for sandwiches and eggs and bacon. very easy to clean.

Its just about what I wanted

Used it once and it cooked very unevenly. Where the element runs in a oval on the underside, the food above that area cooks way to hot and the area away from the element was undercooked. Pancakes were almost burnt on one half and still raw on the other. Also the tilt to it for drainage made them not round. I had read that eggs would slide down the hole, but the pancake mix, which was average consistancy ran a bit as well. Very light weight griddle. Thought the size would be great for our family, but HATED it!
