Rated 1 out of 5 by KatiesGrammy New to pressure cooking, recommend this cooker! This is a great pressure cooker for a novice. It really is idiot proof if you follow the simple directions. I have made shredded chicken and shredded pork so far, and the meat was perfect and so fast and easy to make. I guess after all the horror stories I heard from the 1950's and 1960's about pressure cookers blowing up, making overcooked, tasteless food, I never had the guts to try one. But those stories are from the days of the old style cookers, not the new ones they have now with all the safety features. The chicken and pork I made had such amazing, rich flavor. I highly recommend this pressure cooker, especially for the low price, the ease of use, and the stainless steel durability. 06/30/2012

Rated 2 out of 5 by hspmisc Feels too light After purchasing, noticed that this cooker felt too light compared to the other brand (same 6 qt capacity) I had used before. Presto 6 QT steel cooker model 01362 on Sears website shows it to weigh 18.2 lbs as compared to Presto 6 QT cooker model 01362 on Wallmart site which shows it to weigh 6.7 lbs (click on specifications). Not sure why the specs are different between Sears and Wallmart for the same item. I do think that the walls of this pressure cooker is too thin compared to my previous 6 qt steel cooker experience. 12/29/2012
