I bought this platform because I moved to an apartment and could not get my queen bed frame up the stairs. I was skeptical at first because I am over 300lbs, and didn't think it would hold me and my husband (140lbs). I was quite surprised it holds up well and doesn't make any squeaking noises. The mattress stays well and doesn't move around much at all, unless you purposely want to move it. It raises the mattress to a chair height so it doesn't feel like you are crawling off the floor. It's great for an alternative to a box spring/bed frame. No need for a box spring. This is an excellent product for what is paid for it. I will be getting one of these for my daughter's bed. I even put a bed skirt on it to hide the legs, perfect! Plenty of room under bed for storage too!

I got this for approx $110 about a month ago, and it performs just as I'd hoped. It's sturdy (holds 2 twin mattresses, 2 adults, a dog, and could hold more). It has a wire frame perfectly flat and supported every 3 inches (no need for box spring or boards), and leaves 14" of storage space underneath. Super simple to assemble and disassemble. Unfortunately it did get one squeaky spot underneath, which I may be able to cure with oil (haven't tried). If you're looking for a queen/king platform, you can't do better for this price.

I've been using this product for about two weeks now and so far, so good. My main concern with purchasing it was that it would not adequately support me as I'm a heavy guy. But I've found that those concerns were alleviated. I originally used the frame with a mattress & box spring. Comes to find out that I only need the mattress.

This is an awesome bed frame.. It is very supportive, and sturdy.. I am over 230 lbs.. not a sound comes from this frame when I sit or lay on it. When putting it together, we struggled with the center support pieces, but with some foot pressure they locked in place... I love my bed now.. and after sleeping on a 12 year old box spring that was sagging & breaking.. this thing is a god send..always straight and flat.. like a bed should be. get it, it is worth the money!!!!!

I purchased this frame without knowing it was manufactured by Boyd, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived to find this out.
My bed is a Boyd product and let me tell you this frame actually made the bed even more comfortable, giving you the right firm support needed.
The space we know have for storage is wonderful, a few inexpensive plastic tubs and we now have all our sheets, extra blankets right under the bed.

The frame is not pretty, but with a bedskirt, you don't see it. It's very sturdy, and is perfect for my memory foam mattress that I also bought from Wal-Mart about a year ago. I like that I did not have to purchase a box spring. You can store stuff under the bed, but you can't use the whole length of the frame because of the support bars on the four legs. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sandysassy First review was a 5 but now?
This was heaven for awhile, best support ever. Drawback was 12 legs under it, harder to dust under bed. Now that I've slept on it for I guess about a year give or take, it seems to be giving away. My bed became heaven and now it's awefull. The middle is now lower than the sides. Half asleep one night I found myself trying to push myself back up onto the bed. I'm on the heavy side but not that big, sleep alone. I started sleeping on the other side and found it to be great. I don't think the metal is strong enough to hold up. Have the twin/double use double so it has extension bars in the middle that don't support like the sides, put a board in the middle which was level w/the rest but has made a bump. Now i have to take mattress off and look at the thing to see if the metal has shifted. Box springs don't last, expensive and using boards under a bed is so ancient. Best bed was my Dads, had strong wire crisscrossed attached to the railings. It's from the 80's, can't find one like that anymore, they want us to keep buying

I would recommend this item to everyone. It is very well made. Assembly is very little, and simple to understand. Used this item with the 8 inch Spa Sensations Memory Foam Mattress. Works great together. Gives you the feel of having more room, in your room than having the standard headboard and footboard. I'm ready to order more for every bedroom in my home. Don't hesitate. Purchase now!
P.S. I even purchased the comforter set at Walmart.

Rated 2 out of 5 by duder12345 OK, but not great
We own a similar looking bed frame from American Furniture Warehouse for our queen size bed in our bedroom, so when I saw this one I thought it would be perfect for our guest bedroom (full size bed).
However, the design of this bed is not that great. It comes in several pieces, and when they are together you cannot move the bed around without the entire frame falling apart. The pieces connect together with these flimsy little clips! Also, some of the clips were bent up when we recieved them and I had to use a hammer to straighten them out. Once you have the bed in place it is fine, and fairly sturdy, but I am disapointed with the quality on this item.
Bottom line - if you don't want to deal with a box spring and regular bed frame, this is an OK alternative. It does have good storage room underneath, but I seriously doubt it would hold up to the weight stated in the specs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IloveMaxmydog Works great
I looked a long time for something that would fit up my stairs. A standard bedframe would not fit due to the bad construction of our old rental. It is comfortable and sturdy and would recommend it to anyone expecially if you don't have a truck to load a box springs in or can't fit it for some reason. Also a very good price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CDUBYA72 How to make it quiet!
This frame is very solid out of the box for motions in the headboard/footboard direction. Side to side motion causes frame noise. By tightening down every screw on the frame (not just the ones necessary for setup), the noise can be silenced. The wingnuts that are supplied must be traded out for the nuts that come pre-assembled on the bed as there is not room to completely tighten down the wingnuts. I also recommend the use of electrical tape to help silence every hing you unfolded to flatten out the frame. The frame is definately to tall to use a standard boxspring with and it feels a little low by itself. I built a 3 1/2 in riser and wish I had built a 2 in riser. As a finishing touch, use a piece of pipe insulation around the 2 center frame legs. This will save you a broken toe, I assure you. I am 6'6 and 300lbs and have put this frame to the test for 3 weeks now and have not heard so much as a pin drop. It only takes a few minutes to set the frame up but if your planning on being happy with it, plan on spending 3 to 4 hours making minor modifications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HolaHolly Great price, great platform!
I once had a boxspring that was tattered and disgusting from being moved several times, a stint in a storage unit, and being hoisted over a second floor balcony twice. I desperately needed to replace it, but the more I though about it, the more irritated I would get. Why are boxsprings so heavy and unwieldy? On top of that, my bed frame was busted, and I didn't have any desire to sleep on a mattress on the floor. And then I stumbled across this option.
At $99 for the Queen size, it beats the price of the boxspring alone, not including the additional bed frame, and this functions as both! Solid construction, although one bar near the middle of the frame looked the tiniest bit bent. It has not affected the performance of the bed frame, however. If anything, this bed frame is an upgrade from any boxspring I've owned, in that it keeps the bed from shaking hardly at all if there is someone tossing and turning next to you. On top of all of this, the platform breaks down into two separate pieces that fold up fairly compact. While they're still a bit on the heavy side, there will be no more grunting and swearing trying to force this up a too narrow hallway.
All in all, this was a great purchase, and I'd certainly recommend it to anyone looking to replace their box spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by photoshopmike Easy to assemble, works great!
I read the other reviews then bought this bed frame and can honestly say its a great deal for the price. It assembles easily, you just unfold it like a lawn chair, and tighten a few wing nuts, clip the two halfs together, and thats it. Its a great platform for a memory foam mattress, and is very sturdy. I'm a big boy, 6'5" and 320lbs, and this platform holds me no problem. It doesnt squeak, doesnt wobble around and is generally very sturdy. I highly recommend it, and you cant beat the price!

Rated 3 out of 5 by ShortOnFunds Ok but not great
For the price this bed is ok. When I unpacked the two main bed pieces they were slightly different lengths (maybe an inch or so). This hasn't caused any major problems but shows the lack of quality control. The three clips (to clip the two bed sides together) seem to be of decent quality but do cause the bed to make noise when you shift from one side to the other (metal on metal). I may try placing some rubber or foam between the metal pieces if the noise becomes too bothersome. Overall, I like the idea of the product. If you live in a house with tight/small stairwells, or for people who move often, this product really does hit the mark. It's lightweight, SUPER easy to set up (and take down), and seems pretty sturdy. Folds up very compact for moving. I also loved that NO TOOLS were needed for assembly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by loveclearancedeals Very practical
I ordered 2 full size frames. They were easy to put together and I like the storage underneath. I love the fact that no box spring is needed. With site to store, there were no shipping cost. They both fit in my Corolla. The thing I didn't care for was the fact that it was raining when I picked them up at the store, so they wouldn't help me load them. Walmart.com is great. They can't help the associates at my Walmart store are lazy and have no manners. The product is great and I would recommend them to anyone. I would just take my husband with me to pick them up.

Very convenient but not sturdy enough. Especially for spring mattresses, there is not enough support. I end up adding boards on top.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MiaB7 This bedframe is not sturdy like was promised. It just broke and I haven't even had it for 2 months yet. Slept on it last night when I woke up this morning everything was fine. I come home and the frame has a crack in that makes the bottom of the bed lift when you sit on it. I believe it was already faulty because we did not exceed the weigh capacity

Rated 5 out of 5 by InkedPrincess GREAT GREAT GREAT
We purchased a VERY expensive platform bed from a furniture store and the slats only made our king size mattress bow in the middle and gave us bad back pain. I ordered this and replaced our bed with it and we LOVE it.. its very sturdy and keeps our mattress perfectly flat, no dipping in the middle. No noise... as long as you put a dust ruffle on it you cant even see it. I would recommend it to anyone that has a king size bed and needs support.

Rated 2 out of 5 by taraloo Two weeks and it fell apart.
I disliked my original bed frame because it didn't meet the end of the box springs. I wanted a sturdy frame that went to each corner of the bed. After reading the reviews on this frame, I purchased it for the new apartment my fiancee and I were getting. We set it up, easy as pie. Less than two weeks later, here I sit with it dis-assembled, because two of the welds on my side have completely broken. Although I'm as heavy as my fiancee, his side is fine and mine is damaged. I just took it apart and emailed Walmart.com to see how I can exchange this. I'm going to see if a replacement will work, but if not, I will seek a refund. This was initially a good frame, and very easy to set up, but the welds did not withstand twelve nights of sleep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kalois Awesome Bed Frame with lots of room underneath!
My husband and I just got a Cal King mattress and was debating whether to purchase a whole new wooden bed frame with headboard and all that which we all know anything Cal King is expensive so we decided to purchase this frame instead for less $$. I also needed to find some room for totes that I have and we are so glad we decided to order this product. I can now use the available space underneath for storage which the bed skirt covers anything visible down there so it worked perfect! It's at least 5-7 inches from the floor to the flat part where mattress sits. Took my husband about 30 minutes, maybe less, to put together. Totally worth it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bigdog56 Excellent Bed Frame
This is an excellent product, and very well made, the only gripe is that three of the wing nuts were off when I pulled it out of the box and one of the center connectors was bent. Luckily the three wing nuts were jut loose in the box and I was able to straighten out the center connecting bracket between the 2 halves. It goes together in about 10 minutes, 20 to put the mattress on it with the skirt and sheets. My wife and I are very happy with this product..

Rated 5 out of 5 by BibsOverall This product is excellent. It takes just a few minutes to put together, the box it ships in is small enough to fit in a small car, is sturdy, and in my opinion, looks good without a bedskirt. My mattress is a 4" Canopy Memory Foam Mattress Topper also from Wal-Mart, so I had to put a layer of flattened cardboard boxes down between the mattress and the frame, but I expected this. My husband is a big guy, and we are both very comfortable.
We had ordered another frame like this one for our son, but it is the one rated to hold 600#, and will convert to a king, just as good a frame as this one, but we needed the extra weight rating for ourselves.
We are military, and move frequently, sometimes I have to move while he is deployed, and I can easily take this down, pack and move it by myself. I'm kinda small, so that was a factor for us. Wonderful product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ThrftyShppr916 Just what i was looking for!!
i recently inhereted an eastern king bed....and needed a frame. i went to two local mattress stores thinking i could find a cheap frame there. . . but all they had were the frames where you would still need a box spring. they insisted there was no "platform" frame. low and behold i found it!!! perfect price - and it does what i needed it to!! i jumped on it and it is sturdy (not that it makes any difference - but i only weigh 105 lbs). Easy to put together in a flash!! Fedex arrived promptly! I am in the process of redecorating the bedroom on a budget...and this frame did just the thing!!! also, should i downgrade to a queen bed (ha ha ha not likely) this frame has extenders you can remove!!!

Awesome frame for the money, gets you off the floor, fully supports the mattress, and practically pays for itself when you opt out on a box spring, (saved me $100 on a $600 mattress). You can also put storage bins underneath increasing your usable space if you're in a small room. I bought some with slide out drawers and zip tied them underneath the frame so they hung under the bed. So now i have the slide out drawers and a spot under that for my shoes as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MAresident Fantastic bed frame, I love it
I wanted to try this platform bed support out as I could not take a box spring inside the elevator. This bed frame came in a convenient box that fit in the car trunk. It was very easy to assemble, note that they list 12 wing nuts as being packed separately in the box, I searched high and low for it for 5 minutes then found that wing nuts were already attached to one part. So, there was no problem! Once assembled, it was sturdy enough for an elephant to lie on it! Very stable, and you get a lot of storage space underneath. I just got a mattress to put on top and it was so comfortable! Very pleased with this product.
