You need to compress the ball to get a spring effect off of the club face. The lower your swing speed the lower compression ball you should play. Most pro&#39;s play a ball between 90 and 100 compression because their faster swing speeds can compress a harder ball. Lower compression balls, 70-80 are well suited for slower swing speeds and seniors.

Precept Laddie is one of the best winter golf balls made. Can't beat the price

A friend gave me a sleeve of these balls, which I tried and really liked. I checked around to find these balls, and Walmart's deal was the best. The balls work better for me than the ones I was using - longer distance on my drives. I'm very satisfied.

I have played high end golf balls in the $40 to $50 per dozen range. This Precept laddie cost less than $10 per dozen with free shipping on orders over $50. Unless you are a single digit handicapper it is hard to discern the difference in the performance between this and the high end balls. I used to keep a couple of dozen high end balls around for tournament play. As an experiment I started to alternate the balls during an 18 hole game and I could not tell the difference. One big difference is when you have a lost ball or hit it in the water. I average over100 rounds per year and loosing 80 cents rather than $4.00 per ball is a big difference.

A lot for a little!

These balls are excellent for players with clubhead speed under 97 mph. They are softer and give better feel and they are just FLYING off my driver. Leave the Pro V1s' and Penta's for the young guns hitting in 325. If you're like me, save the money an play the Laddie or Treosoft for under $2/ball!
