Diaper Genie Product was shipped fast and is simple to use. The foot pedal opens the lid, you toss the diaper in, and the genie "eats" it. Viola! No more diaper!Clean up is just as simple. When your Genie is full... Hit the button in the middle, flip the lid, use the cutter on the inside to cut the top of the bag off, and tie a knot to make a new "bottom" for the new bag. Then tie off the used diapers in the bag and toss in the trash.This thing is wonderful since I have puppies who like my trash cans, it keeps the smell contained in the bag and not in my baby's room, and everything about the diaper genie is easy easy easy and helps keep mommy's hands free with a wiggly baby during diaper changes! 03/12/2011
Wonderful. Smell what? Not at all Easy to put the bags in, easy to empty. Never smell a thing. (And, believe me, my son can clear a room with his dirty diapers) It smells a little once you open it, so you can take the bag of dirty diapers out. But, of course that is to be expected. Well worth the price. The bags hold A LOT. SO, you don't have to change it that often. Hence, you don' t have to buy refills that often either. I have heard, and expierenced at a friend's house that the regular Diaper Genie and Diaper Genie II do not work that well. I was very happy with the Diaper Genie II Elite. 05/05/2011
LOVE THIS!!!Especially now that my son is on solids and his diapers are a big more (ahem!) pungent...this does wonders.I dislike that there isn't a button to open the lid, only a foot pedal. The hands free option is nice, but I typically stay seated when changing my son, so I have to wait til I stand up and get the baby settled to put the pamper inside. And as most moms know, the baby usually fusses/spits up/someone else needs your attention and the pamper sits on the chair or somewhere til I go back in and remember to hit the foot pedal and trash it. I'd like to just be able to push a button from the seated position and get rid of the nastiness right then and there!That being said, it's definitely not a huge deal and I am grateful for this product. I think its very efficient when it comes to reducing odor in the nursery and keeping the pampers out of little hands/paws reach. Now if only I could teach DAD to empty the bags regularly...LOL 05/28/2011
